One time GB target Adrian Nelson - 6’6” F - decommitted from Detroit Mercy today Adrian Nelson has committed to NKU. I would say he moved up nicely within the league. Started at the bottom now I'm here... Also, Rapolas Ivanauskas is a bigger forward who can shoot that is leaving Northwestern. He lives in the NW Chicago suburbs and while highly recruited out of high school he has played in 3 games in 2 years due to injury. Seems like the big boys might not be interested in that. Given his injury history he could get a year back. nusports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=4813

With McNair committing do Parks and Abeav still visit? Or do we more open scholarships available? Time will tell...

It's rare for a D1 program not to have some movement.

My guess is that Parks doesn't visit but Abeav does. I don't think the signings of Smith and McNair fully address the need for a big man.
I would agree with Tulsa I could see some movement happening as part of the new normal for college basketball off seasons. We have to hope it isn't something like Cohen being lured away as a grad transfer or one of the young guys thinking they could have more of an impact sooner if they left.
There are things I don't like about what the staff is doing. However, I also think the team could be competitive next year with what they have and given some of the HL roster movement.

I was thinking and hoping the same thing GBPhoenix1. I surely hope we can get a full year of Sandy Cohen this coming year and teaming up with Schwartz will give us a good shot to compete for a top spot in the Horizon League.
These JUCO transfers help us in the “win now” circumstances. We can’t doubt Linc because look what he did with Cooper and Hurdle? Look for 2019’s recruiting class to be all 4 year players.
Anybody going to the Steak Fry next week?

Really looking forward to the competition for playing time this year. This team is losing Small and Jesperson and replacing them with 4 guys who expect to be in the rotation. Long term I am leery of the three man JUCO class but its hard to ignore the talent that has been brought in. In this new age of college hoops- a JUCO with two years of eligibility is nearly a sure bet to give you two years- instead of bolting as a grad transfer.
Land Domask next year please

100 percent agree on Domask. Don’t let him leave the state Linc. Promise the kid everything and the kitchen sink!

Parks is a pretty impressive athlete. I was wishing the Nix could have signed him too.

Do you think it was Linc’s plan all along to get a heavy JUCO class with the multiple freshman we had last year?

Do you think it was Linc’s plan all along to get a heavy JUCO class with the multiple freshman we had last year? I don't think it was planned that way, but when they were unable to land some of the freshmen they would have liked it became a reasonable alternative as opposed to pursuing less talented freshmen.

Flory is from Oshkosh who Green Bay had interest in a couple years ago. He saw minutes at Seton Hall last year as well. Think Linc and Co can make something work to get him on the team? Pay this year and get a scholarship in 19?

I like Flory's game and I think he could contribute in the Horizon League. Operating just in a fantasy basketball world with no consequences I would take guys like Flory, Owen Hamilton and Juwan McCloud over some of the older guys who are no longer likely to play much given the recent roster additions. Guys like Hamilton and Flory would actually give the program a freshman class of sorts. They would sit this year and then be second year players in 2019-20.
