I listened to most of it and looked at the box score but without seeing it and given the level of competition I don't feel like I have anything to add to the discussion. I know it costs money to stream the games but I feel like it is a missed opportunity to introduce as many people as possible to the Darner era. Especially with less than 1000 people there in person, they might as well have played a second "secret scrimmage" against a D1 team instead of this game if nobody was going to watch it. I did enjoy the new format of highlights with quotes from Darner's press conference playing at the same time on the Phoenix website. With that said I am also a hoops junkie so I would also appreciate the whole press conference being available as well. It doesn't seem like it would take much effort to have both available. I too would have rather had a 2nd D1 scrimmage. They would have had more people if they had played an away game. More people there may have enjoyed getting a look at a D1 team? I'm suprised that 1,000 people went? Probably 1/2-3/4 just were there to see the new Coach and style. Get well Jordan we'll need you soon. If we don't get better at Ft's it will be a long season. Always amazes me when Guards and Forwards can't hit 60%. I understand big men having a lower % but appreciate it when you have a big that can hit 70%.

I was being nice when I said 1000 people, from the pictures I saw it looked like less than 500.

The official box score didn't even list an attendance figure. They should have played the game at the Kress, and NOT at 1PM on a Saturday afternoon.

My Grandaughter is a JR at RF's and says they have the worst BB and Football programs she's ever seen. Would Madison play UWRF in football. No but it seems like a lot of schools do this type of thing in BB, why?

I understand the bigger programs playing these games with the revenue they draw. 17k attendance announced for the Wisconsin vs River Falls game. If you have a large season ticket base its another game to add to the package. There was not even 1000 at the resch last weekend. Playing someone local (St Norbert, Lawrence, Oshkosh, Stevens Point) may bring in a few hundred more people. I have season tickets and didn't bother to attend(it was Halloween) but would have delayed my plans to see them play someone with local ties. You are much better off playing two closed scrimmages than playing Stout in front of friends and family. Also I just notice that UW Superior left the WIAC all together. They now play in the UMAC with private Minnesota schools. Over/under on 1500 fans for that game?
