Regardless of who the new coach is, there are likely to be some transfers out and perhaps some lost recruits. At the same there are other players available for a variety of reasons.
Some of local interest include:
David Jesperson / Peperdine/ Merrill / 2yr eligibility
Jake Showalter / North Dakota State/ 3yr eligibility
Chandler Dievkoss / Richmond / 4yr eligibility
I do no recall any of these players being high on the list of recruits or even having an offer, but if GB finds themselve shorthanded, who knows.

Other transfer news includes the possibility that Cleveland State could lose both Grady and Lewis to transfer. The number of transfers in Division 1 basketball is getting out of hand.

If they both left (I'm assuming they are graduate transfers and would be eligible right away), then that would pretty much kill CSU's chances at winning the HL next season. It worked for Bryn Forbes.

If Wardle is looking to start fresh at Bradley, it looks as though he will get his wish. www.pjstar.com/article/20150401/SPORTS/150409934/12701/SPORTSWith that many openings on his team, I would expect him to raid the Phoenix. Especially incoming recruits plus perhaps Francis and Small. As far as the number of transfers at Bradley goes, I expect Wardle laid out expectations and many of the current players were not willing.

Pretty telling that 6 guys already left. He can say its because he wants guys that are "team first" all he wants but the fact of the matter is when HALF of the team leaves, it seems like they had each other's backs in the first place. He just pushed them away right out of the gate.

Knightlyfe instead of bashing and crying about wardel why not give him time to build Bradley. They were only going to have one open scholarship had no one left. He needs guys who are going to play for the team not themselves as individuals. Bradley is overtaking s culture change right now. With that u get transfers. If u take s second and read their fans opinions. ull see their fans are happy and talk about how last year a lot of the players not returning weren't about the team.
We had a guy just like you three years ago named big v that came on here and cried the program was crashing with Wardells transfers one off season. After that all wardel did was lead us to back to back nit tourneys. Back to back top 60 finishes in the rpi. This is something that was never seen at Green Bay outside of the dick Bennett era.
A true Phoenix fan would be thankful of just having the best back to back seasons in program history outside of the dick Bennett era

Hopefully we don't have to wait 19 years for the next one.

The fact is Wardle couldn't deliver it's as simple as that. For how much longer are you going to idolize this guy? Next time you try to bash me at least use proper grammar.

Not to pile on to Knight too much here but I am confused. Twenty minutes ago in the off season thread you said Wardle is six feet under and in the past for GB. Yet 11 hours ago you posted in this thread about the departures from Bradley and how that is telling about Wardle. So what side are you on here? If what Wardle is doing doesn't matter than why did you bring him up without being prompted? Totally random but since I am logged in and posting where did Ram go? As for the Bradley situation it seems like some guys where already leaving (Taylor and Cunningham), some guys are moving on from hoops at Bradley for education (Wells is going to get his masters) and the other guys either didn't like Wardle, didn't like his reputation or he didn't like them. The article in their local paper indicated some didn't like his reputation but I know first hand that he wasn't impressed by a few of those guys play so I could see them being pushed out as well.

I didn't bash you knightlyfe. I just said it gets lame when you bash wardel for delivering the best two year span outside of the dick Bennett era.

All I was getting at is he doesn't seem to be winning over the team there already. In the grand scheme of things that could pose problems. As far as Green Bay is concerned he isn't relevant but it really stood out to me that half the team bolted immediately.

Did Wojo lose the team at Marquette because Burton, Dawson and Taylor have bolted and only one their 4 recruits coming in last year stayed? I could go to pretty much any new hire and paint a similar picture.

At this point, we are going to get a new coach at GB. This also happened when TK left. I would expect some transfers to Bradley. It's the nature of the beast, and we want players who want to be a part of the GB program......Good luck to BW and hope he can turn around a basketball-proud school like Bradley.
