I saw this on Twitter, "Head coach Brian Wardle has announced sophomore Henry Uwadiae has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team policy"

A rare Tulsa post, where have you been?
As for Henry if the standard for weed is 3 games this makes me wonder what indefinite is for? The last time we saw this I believe it was Cougs and I think that was academic related. I hope this isn't the end of the line for Hendo as I want to see him develop over the years. I will be curious to see if he is on the bench tonight. For those who don't like Lowe this is a tough blow as it creates one fewer big option to use.

I am guessing it is academic related as a friend told me the following; "He never studied. He would ask the tutors every 5 minutes if he could be done."

I also overheard at the last phoenix game from a student who sits with his dad that "Henry seems lost" in the class they have together. He was a JC transfer who committed to Wichita State but wasn't academically eligible out of high school.

To bad if the academic story is the reason. If he doesn't get that part he may not be able to stay in this country let alone in school. As to the question to where I have been -- retired to the Pacific Coast but still following and watching the Nix. We're calling Eugene and Otter Rock, Oregon home these days. www.flickr.com/photos/124012422@N07/

Great photos, thanks for sharing.
As for Hendo I see his suspension had him away from the team on Friday night. I hope he can bounce back but it isn't looking good.

Hey Tulsa good to hear from you! My wife and I are looking at the Pacific NW (Seattle, or Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR) or Denver as possible places for relocation in the next 3 years. We love MN/WI, but we're tired of the bitter cold. The Pacific NW has a more moderate climate, and Denver still has snow, but does not get bitter cold like MN/WI.
This is not good for Henry. Was supposed to go to Wichita St. out of HS, went to JC for a year, committed to Marshall but then there was a coaching change, now he's at GB. If he doesn't get engaged in the classroom, he won't last anywhere.

It's a shame Henry can't hit the books because I think he could be a special player in two years. He was already a fan favorite this year. When I heard they got him I really thought he could take over Browns presence in the paint on defense at least this year. Boy was I wrong!

Hendo put a picture on Instagram of his basketball locker and said it is great to be back. So I assuming he is back on the team. I hope he hits the books and court to improve both.

If he stays with the books and works hard in the gym he can make some money after college.

I am happy that he worked out whatever issue he had. I know we are assuming it was academic related but until someone confirms that we should maybe back off that a bit. As for him in the future I want to see him develop but the more I think about that the less likely I see that being. As the competition became stiffer he looked more out of sorts on the court. He has two more years total to improve skills and his feel for the game. That is a tall task.

I spoke with someone with some insight into the suspension and was told it had nothing to do with academics. Was told he is actually pretty smart.

Hope he does stick around. The next Alec Brown he is not, but if he can be like Valpo's Vashil Fernandez and be a 6-8 pt./ 7-9 reb. / and about 3 blocks per game type of player, then he will be valuable to this team the next couple years.

I honestly wish it would've been academically related. I hope it wasn't a Vince Garrett situation where Wardle just suspended him for something petty. Could've unnecessarily stunted some much needed growth.
