It'll be interesting to see if Keifer plays tonight or if they sit him until Friday. Wardle said on Monday that it was 50/50 if Sykes plays tonight. He was able to practice yesterday, but the last I've heard is that they're going to "play it by ear"

Thank you Greg Mays and Co. for the win. Nice to see Sykes get back in the flow. He may not be healthy, but he looked closer to his old self tonight than in the past few games.

Greg Mays went off and kept going to the basket aggressively. Keifer played well and played within himself...took the shots he needed to and founds others(mostly Greg). The last 4 minutes of the first half were as exciting of a stretch as I have seen at the resch in some time. Need a better performance from AMac on friday night, he looked completely out of sorts.

Terrific passing last night. 27 assists with just 7 turnovers. Love and Sykes knocked down their 3's too. one of the funnest games of the year.
Detroit's Paris Bass will be a huge scorer in this league for years to come.
This game was a perfect primer for Friday nights huge clash.

I just saw the 27 assists on 31 made baskets. I knew they were sharing the ball well last night, but was impressed when I saw that.
You could tell Wardle wanted them to go up-tempo on offense the entire game. There were a few times in the first half where GB would grab a rebound and get it to Sykes, but he would start walking it up the floor. Wardle would immediately tell him to go, and that's when the offense was clicking. They seemed determined to attack the paint in the first half with Mays (obviously) and Fouse to a certain degree, which then opened things up for Sykes and Love in the latter part of the first half and the second half.
McKinnie settled for a few jumpers in the first half that didn't seem to sit well with Wardle, and then he had a couple defensive lapses that led to him sitting most of the second half. Lowe filled in alright on defense and luckily wasn't needed on offense too much. I really like the speed and athleticism of the Sykes-Love-Francis-Fouse-Mays lineup. Not a lot of bulk, but Francis and Fouse make up for that with length. I would expect to see that lineup against CSU on Friday with Mays on Grady and Fouse or Francis shadowing Lewis.

Good convincing win. I was very impressed with Mays and even Francis off the bench. I am just concerned as to why we had four starters on the floor with a 20 point lead and four minutes to play. I'm aware of the adage "no lead is safe" but that was ridiculous. Even the commentators on TWC made note of this several times. We are too deep into crunch time to risk injuries like that.

It was good to get a win. I agree that starters probably could have come out earlier. By the same token they were just running the clock out but any risk is not good. Obviously it was Mays best game but that really came from his attitude, he wanted the ball and he wanted to finish at the hoop. GB needs another month of that! Sykes really couldn't drive against their defense but he did a good job of moving off the ball to get open near the hoop. Plus he had good rotation on his jumpers so it was no surprise they were falling.
Detroit really doesn't seem that good defensively despite that physical talent. A team with that athletic ability should not be giving up 96 points. I am not a big Howard fan but I do think he is an unstoppable one on one offensive player, he certainly showed that. Yet it doesn't seem to be enough to put them over the top, they might be better without him in the future.

I was running my kids around and did not attend them game but it is good to hear Sykes jumper had better rotation. It is amazing how much that can impact a shot.
