Here's Rob Demovsky's preview.Hope the Nix really bring energy and push tempo in this one. YSU doesn't use it's bench, and they really wilted in the 2nd half versus UWM. All 5 of the starters average over 30 mpg, none of the bench averages 9 mpg. Stud Damian Eargle went all 40 versus UWM. Let's wear them out and steal it late.

A pathetic effort. This team needs to improve, and fast. box score

The only positive I can find from this game is that YSU is a prime example of how much a team can improve from year to year simply by having a talented group of freshman and sophomores become sophomores and juniors.

Hopefully, we get the same kind of upward mobility in the standings next season.....

The players have to deciede which way they want to go. Shooting 50% on FT's and getting out rebounded does show lack of effort. Earlier in the season we had FT problems, but not every game. We were out rebounding the other teams all the time. It's time to step up or we're going to find ourselves further back. Time to quit the excuses and play harder. I don't see any reason to look at next year, were only through half of this years league schedule.

For the first time in a long time I watched a GB game that made me question why I continue to be a fan. They just looked half asleep out there. The ball was bouncing off of Alec Brown's hand non stop in the first half. They really didn't defend or rebound. Watching these guys shoot free throws is pathetic.
Yet in all of that I can still see where these guys could win games now and certainly in the future. On an individual basis we are starting to see Kam knock down shots on a consistent basis. Mays finally looked explosive finishing around the rim. Armstead didn't do much but he had a really nice pull up jumper in the lane.
Of the "chi 4" Humphrey is the only guy I don't see being skilled enough to be more than a role player. That catapult jumper needs a lot of work.
As for this season let's see how they respond. I will be curious to see if Wardle makes any changes to starting lineup.
