That's awesome news. Georgia State was the Sun Belt champ last year and went 25-9 overall. Should be a great set of games.

So two non-Division I games and just one Saturday Horizon League home game. That's disappointing. My family and I love the Saturday conference games. They have a totally different feel to them than a weekday game. And Sunday's are definitely not the same, either.

The team had no control over the conference schedule, but what the hell is the Horizon League thinking? They've completely screwed the Phoenix and is fans. Attendance will be hurt, and it has nothing to do with the team.

Also, is this just a typo, or the home game against Chicago State on Wednesday, December 31st really being played at noon? In the middle of a business day? I was excited for a new years eve night game, but a noon game doesn't work at all. This has to be a typo right?

As a fan I like the Saturday night games, the atmosphere for a big game is awesome. Yet I don't mind not having as many since many of my biggest disappointments have been during these Saturday games. It almost feels like past versions of the Phoenix were too wrapped up in the Saturday night lights. While not the same if they run a good promo against a decent team then Sunday afternoons can draw and get lively. I like the Friday night games on ESPN2/U, national tv usually brings a good element to the arena.
The 12/31 game at noon is interesting. A lot of people I know do get off early or all together. I am not one of those people. I wonder what the crowd will look like.
I love the end to the season. The team pretty much gets two senior nights (North and South).
I am going to the Gulf Coast Showcase. Is anyone else going?
I am 50/50 on Vegas, I have to find a flight schedule that works well with my available rewards points and miles. Is anyone going to Vegas? I have to imagine that is going to be a sparse crowd.

Usually the GB Gamblers play on New Years Eve and my thoughts were that the game may be at the Kress Center...Having the game at noon should bring about 1800 people to the Resch Center. I think they would be better off at the Kress. We all will have enough to drink that night too I like the Friday night games but it will not draw as well as the Saturday conference games. They have done great promos the last few years to get fans/families out to those games.

I wanted to comment on how positive the offseason has been for the Phoenix in all aspects compared to last year. From Keifer going to the CP3 camp to the new verbal commits everything has been positive. It is very refreshing.
There is another board that has been bashing us and no one took the bate and instead kept our focus on moving forward in an upward trend. So everyone should be commended on that as we need to keep and continue to put our focus and energy into the Green Bay program to maximize the potential.

Is it Georgia State that is so well regarded in the mid-major polls? GB has a home and home with them this season. Two wins there and against one of the top D1's on the schedule would go a long way in helping the Nix cause. Yes, though the second home game might not be as much of an RPI boost...Head Coach Ron Hunter's son is an NBA prospect and might not stick around for his senior year if GSU can make some noise this year Parker, both games with GSU are in December of 2014 so if GSU is good and GB beats them it should be an RPI boost for this season.

Phoenix opponent Miami went on the road and defeated #8 Florida last night. Morehead St lost by 1 on opening night at UNLV.

Green Bay has released the rest of this years TV schedule. 12 of the teams remaining 22 games will now be on TV. Especially important is the road TV games. I like that CW14 is now also airing Phoenix games. Hopefully that continues to grow. I'm surprised no one picked up the Georgia State game. That's game looms huge.
