Big one today. A solid Cleveland State team at home. Make note of the changed start time. It's a noon tip now at the Resch Center, the time chasms to accommodate the Packers game.
Green Bay battling to stay on top of the Horizon League!

DJ Douglass out today with an injury suffered in practice. That's a real kick in the dick, following a 26 point game.

Take the final five minutes of both games this weekend and Cleveland State is 2-0. That's why we play a full forty, folks!
Edit: wait aren't you supposed to dunk the ball to end the game? I've heard if you dunk it you get free pizza.

The First Place Phoenix know how to finish! Down 4 with 4 to go, they lock in, comeback, and pull away, winning by 8. Super impressed by Sunny's squad!

Wow, what a game. Remember early in the season when we were concerned GB would be a poor 3 point shooting team and couldn't hit free throws.

Noah Reynolds is absolutely dominant. 8-12 from the floor, 3-3s, 13-14 from the free throw line. 32 points.
Best transfer in program history.

It's been awhile, so help me out. Do we call them the 1st place Phoenix, or first place Phoenix, or phirst place Phoenix?

It was another fun day to be a Phoenix fan. The overall ball movement from the offense was great. They continually find capable open shooters who are set and ready to fire.
They also did a good job rebounding against a much bigger and athletic front court.
Last year Lowder went absolutely nuts against GB in at least one of the games. Going 1 for 10 was sweet revenge, especially because he likes to talk.
Need to go 1-0 on Thursday!!

I haven't been on here for a while so this is for more than just this game. Sundance captivated everyone with the work he did before the season. However, I dont think anyone imagined this success this quickly. It has been remarkable the job hes done. I predicted 10-12 wins and was on the high side for most of us here. Sitting here on January 16th we have already accomplished that. He should already be a lock for Horizon league coach of the year and this will never happen but he should get some serious looks for national coach of the year. Also, noah reynolds is simply unbelievable. As good as keifer sykes was, i think noah is more skilled and is the best player i have seen in a long time at GB. The contributions from the rest have been special too, especially DJ. Obviously, we have some holes, including the front court and lack of size, but i dont have much to complain about now that we can finally watch this team and have fun doing so again. In regards to this game, it was great to see Foster step up with DJ out. Another example of this team just grinding out games, wearing teams down and fighting to the end. Lets keep stacking W's.
