Tall task tonight, but a great opportunity for the youngsters to get experience, and for Noah Reynolds to continue to show he's a top tier player. Douglass was really good versus UIC, hope to see a lot more of him.

This should be an interesting game simply from the perspective of seeing how far this team has come from game 1. Oklahoma and Iowa St are ranked close to each other in KenPom (OK #20 and ISU #18) so I think it’s pretty fair to compare the two games. Obviously I don’t expect this to be a competitive game but I’m fairly confident it won’t be the 41 point beatdown we saw against Iowa St. The current line is GB +24.5 and I think if they can keep it within 20 it would be a win in my books. Don’t really know much about Oklahoma but I’m assuming we’re going to struggle in the paint, both offensively and defensively. GB shot really good from the outside against UIC and they’re going to have to be even better from three if they have any hope of keeping this one close.
Ultimately it’s always fun playing a top 15 team, it would be one of the biggest regular season wins in school history if they pull off the impossible.

Ouch!! After the Phoenix clawed back to 20-21 with under 5 minutes left in the half (with a chance to take the lead), the Sooners go on a 15-0 run. GB misses all of their5 shots - while giving up 7 turnovers! Any hope for an upset was lost in those 5 minutes.

The Sooners are very good, there isn't much to take from this one.
Blow MSOE away to shake this off and then get ready for HL play.

This is a season where we can take comfort in individual plays, stretches of games and individual games where their will be signs of a brighter future. The first 15 minutes against Oklahoma was one of those times.

One thing that stood out to me was how the guys were still into at the end of the game. After Amari Jedkins put that OU guy on a poster the bench went crazy.
Like GB1 said, come back together beat MSOE, enjoy the holidays and then let’s start off conference with a bang. Two best guards in the Horizon League going at it. Get your popcorn ready.
