Today on the slappin glass podcast coach wicks talked about the offense. It’s a good listen. Foster Wonders is a second year player how he not a strong defender how he can’t be switched on to best scorer. Practices how coach wicks takes out the best player like Reynolds. Or big man to play small ball because you never know who will be in follow trouble I think it’s genius.

This was excellent. There was way more discussion of strategies, schemes, techniques, etc. than I’ve ever heard from the coach before. He sounded like a basketball coach and not just a motivational speaker. This is a must listen for anyone who may be rubbed wrong by the rah rah guy persona.

This podcast has a lot of nerdy basketball info that the vast majority of fans will have a hard time keeping up with (I'm in that group).
However, it was clear that Wicks fits in with these guys and can definitely talk the talk and do it in his usual interesting style.
Though I came across as dismissive in a different thread, I do agree at the end of the day people will want to see walking the walk. However, it hurts nothing at this point in the season to have a guy that can hold his own in every public interaction he has.
Between this podcast and the recent video content GB has produced on their social media, it is fun to see a quality effort in rebuilding a positive brand recognition for GB basketball.
I believe they will start winning some games again and then the social media component they are engaged in will have a snow ball effect.
