Not sure if there would be any interest from either side but I would gladly have him back in GB for his final season

Amari looked like he was really going to be something special as a freshman, but as a 4th year player, he shot just 7% from 3. He just never developed.

Most of his offensive game was mid-range jumpers. Good kid but it would kind of be like getting back together with an ex. There was a reason for the breakup. Hope he can find his footing, could have a good career overseas or in the G league if his game develops just a little further.

Why is it different than tanner holden? I understand he didn’t like Will Ryan but will Ryan is not the coach anymore. I think Amari is dumb for not at least talking to Sonny. I love Ryan Wade. You put Amari Davis uwgbs depth chart it puts uwgb on the right track. Amari, Reynolds, Wade, wonders, David Douglas if he doesn’t redshirt.Wow that would be something. A bunch of tall guards that can shoot the three and athletic. Amari Davis fits the new high tempo system.

He can’t fit in this wicks offense? High tempo. I wanted a reunion. He’s left handed Reynolds is left handed Wade is left handed.

Amari kicks it out to shooters? This is hypothetical I guess.

Amari and Noah Reynolds would make a dynamic backcourt.

Amari and Noah Reynolds would make a dynamic backcourt. Cummings is better. Davis can't shoot and has no playmaking skills.

I would bring him back. If he had a huge year he could write his name into the books as a Green Bay great.
No I doubt that happens. Two of the 4 coaches on the staff do follow him on Twitter so maybe there is smoke there?

It doesn't seem likely that Amari would return to GB given that everyone he knows from GB is gone. Other than being here before he doesn't have any current connections.
Yes Amari not being a 3 point threat can be an issue for spacing in a spread out offense. However, there is no denying that he is a bucket getter. GB hasn't had many guys in the past two years and doesn't have many guys this year that can manufacture their own looks.
That lack of a bucket getter is what has derailed the team the last 2 years. The ball just moved around the perimeter and nobody either could or would be able to put the ball on the floor and make a play.
Amari was able to slip to the hoop off the dribble or pull up in the mid range. Plus he was good in the transition offense as well.
I would welcome him back to GB with wide open arms and then put him in the spots he can succeed in. His 17ppg in GB didn't happen by accident.

I guess the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence. While he put up solid numbers at Mizou and Wright St, he put up his best stats with GB in his First two seasons in starts, minutes, rebounds, assists, and points.

Amari did not have the best of luck with the coaching situation at GB. He got lost in the shuffle with coaching changes/roster building at Missouri. Going home to play at Wright State put him in a less than ideal situation. He is a case study for other athletes looking at the potential benefits and pitfalls of a transfer.
I doubt he would return to the Nix program but ironically, Coach Wicks and Company would have been the kind of developmental staff that could have done wonders building out Amari's game.
