7pm on Tuesday, streaming on ESPN3.
The last time I remember GB going to Florida after an embarrassing road loss they beat Miami. So anything is possible. UCF is huge, I would expect them to destroy GB inside and on the glass. With that said the up tempo game is hard for them to defend. "So you're saying there's a chance?"

There's absolutely zero chance unless we get some kind of defensive improvement. I get the style is to play fast and have it be high scoring but the turnovers are no where to be found. Also, what happened to the pressing and trapping that caused so many turnovers and fast break points during Lincs first year or two. Theres going to be zero consistency unless something changes on the defensive end.

In less than 7 hours we will get to see what kind of fight these guys have in them.
The offense has been fairly efficient even without forcing turnovers. They just flat out can't get a stop and a rebound to get back on offense. I don't think they necessarily need pressure defense to win, just some basic half court defense would do the trick. Easier said than done, especially since coach has a short hook for the guys who are less skilled offensively and more skilled at getting stops.

Green Bay is being very secretive about Tank, doesn’t seem like he is coming back anytime soon.

Welcome to the Amari Davis show that gets disrupted by the always timely Cody Schwartz travel that comes every game. Obviously whatever apparently inspired him based on my posts didn't work enough cause the same shit is happening vs an actual big man that has any kind of size.

Someone should've let these guys know that Amari Davis has 24 pts and the rest of them aren't doing much. Sickening to see him lead them all the way back just for the same garbage to happen.

Can Mike Heidemans ghost coach the team instead? At least they’d play disciplined if not slow basketball.

It’s scary to imagine there’s four teams (if not More) worse in this conference than gb. They are absolutely terrible. You can’t tell me tank makes this team that much better.
People need to start showing up with paper bags on their heads at the home games. All 800 of them! The only reason to go at this point is to see Amari for the one year we’ve got him before he transfers to Xavier.

Well, this cements Amari as an all conference player as a freshman, no?

Man, Amari is a baller. But the game went about how I expected it to go. The guys battled in the 2nd half but just got beat by a more skilled team. Im definitely over these games against major conference teams so I’m glad those are done with. Bring on Evansville though, should be a fun game on Saturday.

The first half shooting left something to be desired but the difference in the game to me seemed to be defending the 3 point line. UCF made 7 more 3's than GB and were getting made shots from role players off the bench. Bertz made 3 from the corner alone. Milan shot over guys with their hands down giving him a little space. Despite being much smaller GB didn't get killed on the glass. Even when UCF built up a 16 point lead, GB rallied to get back to down 5. Other than 3 point defense I thought they played well.
We had a Manny Patterson sighting and he played well on the boards. The down side for him is that he is a little slow to get the ball out to a guard once he grabs a board so the running game doesn't always get going. I honestly think if they would let him play through that he would get the confidence to make better outlet passes.
Kam was solid in the first half. He is putting together a consistent season especially since he is the 3rd or 4th option on offense.
I echo the sentiment above, I am happy to be done with these buy games. I don't think anyone in the Horizon would have come out any better than 0-5. GB played tough in each game, that is more than some of the teams in the league can say when they had to play higher level talent.
For the Linc haters on the board they had to despise the giant D2 championship ring he was wearing during the game.
For the slow ball fans is losing these games by 6 or 7 because of a slow pace really that much better? When you play so slow being down 3 baskets feels insurmountable.

A loss is a loss I guess and I agree these are all games they should have lost. But the eastern Illinois game is inexcusable and Lincs teams have 3-4 Losses like that a year. Which means more are coming in conference play. Nothing I’ve seen leads me to believe this team can finish higher than Wright St NKU or even Oakland.

Having this tough of a non conference schedule is going to make the end of the year optics look bleak
Let's say we split between Evansville/ Northern Illinois (good mid majors- could be underdogs against both) and obviously beat Concordia- 5-8 NC Record
It will take an 11-7 record to get above .500 overall before the conference tournament. I still think 11-7 is very realistic with the state of this league after NKU, Wright State and Oakland. The guys have had moments against the big boys but did not well enough for 40 minutes to put a big scare into any of them.

If we now know that people affiliated with the program read this board why would anyone keep beating the drum for enjoy a player before they transfer? It puts out the wrong message in every way. Even if it's a real concern, encouraging it is pointless. If you think you are calling out Darner or the current college basketball system your not. You are just raining on a parade and making any player current or future think GB is a sucky program and place. Helping to ruin a great story doesn't change leadership at the top anytime soon if that is ultimately what you want. It just makes it harder to build this program up to what it should be.

I would say GB put a scare in UCF and to a lesser extent Xavier.
When GB cut the lead in the second half UCF called multiple timeouts to slow the momentum.
For Xavier Travis Steele was very upset with how they handled GB. In the post game there was a minor dust up between the teams because GB had got under their skin.
