Marshall is a young team lead by 6-3 senior Jon Elmore. herdzone.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=4628 This guy is one of the best shooters I've seen in a long time. He makes unbelievable contested shots and his range starts in the parking lot. Defense on him will be the key.

Game time is 6pm on Thursday. I believe it is on CBS sports network, which means every bar and house in the area should be able to view it.

Do you think the defense played on Antoine Davis in the second Detroit game would be good enough to slow Elmore down? He seems more in control than Davis thus more accurate. I haven't watched him a ton this year but he was a darling of the dance last year.

Marshall was a fun team to watch this year and won a game last year in the NCAA. Should be a packed arena for the title. Our guys are playing so loose and confident right now that a win and a championship would not surprise me.
It sure sounds like a 6PM tip time. If this game wasn't in the eastern time zone, CBS Sports Net would have lobbied for an 8PM central start to not have to compete with the NIT championship.

I'm sure some will laugh that it's "just" the CIT Championship, but ANY April college basketball is better than NO college basketball while you're sitting at home ripping your brackets up because you picked all #1 seeds. ;-) This will be a great springboard into next season.
Hope JayQuan can play.......

This run in the CIT Tournament is emotional gold for the players and should pay dividends on the recruiting trail and for confidence going into 2019-20.

Looks like no live coverage only live streamed... (This from Greenbay website...) Where to Watch: CBS Sports Digital >> www.WatchCIT.com (Free live video stream) TV: No live TV coverage

Man no TV for a championship game is disappointing. Why the CIT or even college insider does not have a Roku channel for these games is mind-boggling too.

We're in an era of changing platforms. CBS Sports Digital is carrying the game. I watch most games these days on streaming video. It's taken me a few years to get the hang of it but it's nice to be able to see pretty much what I'm interested in seeing. I do think CBS Sports Network should have found a place for the game on their cable channel. Their Thursday schedule during game time has some Final Four features and the Bradley/Michigan State NCAA game from the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. (this has received multiple airings) Since there's a crew covering the GB/Marshall game there would be no cost to put it up on cable as well as the streaming feed that will be offered. I plan on docking a laptop to my TV to get a bigger picture. I hope some bars in Green Bay will put the game up on the big screens.

Exactly, this should pay dividends going forward. Not many teams still playing games and getting additional practices in. This has to be a plus for next year.

Did the UIC run to the CIT title game really help them this year? As excited as I am now for next year we have to take this run with a grain of salt. We beat a team on the road without their head coach and their second and third little scorer and then won 3 home games. At home this team wins 75-80 percent of the time regardless of the opponent.
We are also losing our best defensive player and best player overall. I think we should have no issues finishing in the top 3 next year but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t live up to expectations next year. Despite going 11-4 since Feb 1 we still play completely sloppy basketball at times. Linc hasn’t really fixed that but we have fixed our defense a bit it seems. Still not more work on rebounding too which obviously means we need more size.
