For both teams this game is huge. A GB win makes things interesting for WSU on Saturday. A GB loss gives WSU the regular season title and makes things interesting for GB on Saturday.
In other news it is a bobble head night.
I don't know how to put into words how I am feeling going into this game but we can all agree this is the kind of game that separates the men from the boys!

Very interesting to see Linc Darners strategy for Loudon Love and Drew McDonald. Will they double down as they have done in the past few games?

There are worse things to happen in life but as a GB fan I can't think of much worse than WSU clinching the regular season title at the Resch Center. That can't happen, let's get this W tonight! It is game day!

I love how we are playing defensively. No need to change up our gameplan offensively, either. We've been getting easy buckets in the paint, and if we keep this up, we are leaving with a W.

Uhhhhhh where has this defense been all year? Over the past 6 games it has been lights out better.
Jevon Smith absent again, hopefully everything is alright.
Any recruits in the house tonight?
Huge win for the Phoenix and now we get a chance to take down the Gonzaga of the Horizon League in Northern Kentucky. (Their fans believe they are Gonzaga FWIW)
Go Phoenix!

If Green Bay wins, we’re the three, right? IIRC, Oakland was swept by WSU, so GB would be 2-2 and OU would be 1-3, right?

That was a fun win. GB was ready to play and felt in control for the entire game. I thought GB made a few mistakes down the stretch that don't happen with a slower pace of play (inbound pass to the WSU bench, not kicking out an offensive rebound late to burn more clock). Live and die with what got you there I guess.
The officials gave WSU every big call down the stretch, that didn't seem accurate. I was surprised that Love didn't have 8 fouls in the box score. I'm also surprised PJ didn't have to enter the concussion protocol after Love ran through him with an elbow to the head on that last rebound. SMH, no foul??
Anyway, with how things unfolded GB secured a top 4 finish which is great. Time to aim higher, #3 please. While they won't know until later I don't want NKU winning the title in the Resch Center. Their fan base needs some humbling.

Fun game to be at. Defense was great and the guys really battled Love down low. His numbers ended up being much better than I thought watching it live. I saw a little mean streak in Manny Patterson that I have been waiting for all year. Locked up a home game on Tuesday and time to ruin NKU's dreams of a conference title on Senior Day Saturday!
2281 in attendance is embarrassing for a promo night and a game vs a first place team this late in the year. Will there even be 1500 on Tuesday? I saw on the WSU board that their season ticket holders are getting free tickets for the quarterfinals and the prices for everyone else start at $5. They will get 4000+ at the Nutter Center.

Great win for the team. They needed this one going into tomorrow night's NKU match-up. Maybe Linc should bury RP40 for now and play a more controlled pace but try to do more secondary break stuff from time to time instead of the fast-break stuff that Linc is trying to do as a part of RP40.
Where was this team all season?

For Love he had a 2:1 ratio of offensive to defensive rebounds, when he missed he didn't miss the second time. I agree with 87 though and I thought Manny was great last night when he was playing. He made Love work really hard and Manny was making contributions on offense that really helped. I thought it was unusual that there were more police reports filed for assault on Loudon Love last night than there were actual fouls called against him In the end it didn't matter, thankfully. This win doesn't mean much if you can't back it up on Saturday. They need to play like the home game isn't already secured. Also, Drew McDonald rested yesterday but should be playing on Saturday from what I read. As for the attendance I don't think GB hoops has much buzz right now. Getting your act together doesn't draw out the masses like being a good team from day one does. Fans like to ride the momentum and GB hasn't had much this year. I am good with GB charging the normal amount of money for Tuesday. This is a business and giving away your product isn't guaranteed to get return customers in 8 months when the next scheduled home game is.
