It is good to see they are recruiting a taller guy. He can shoot from 3 as well.
Very interesting to see that they are going heavy JUCO recruiting right now, as this is the third offer in a week.
Also with the recent offers you have to think they are planning for a few guys to not come back. Though they are playing all of the freshmen now so they must not want to lose any of them.

Where do you get your information? If you look at the dynamics of the team, who would leave or want to leave especially when you have to sit out a year etc. Why even make the blind note especially since they will have 3 open scholarships for next year, wouldn't you want to try use them all? You not going to get every one you make and offer too.. I"m just curious as I break down the team: Sandy, already sat out so where he going? Schwartz, currently sitting and available next year? Hankerson, sitting pretty and playing well and getting better while learning how to play his role so why and where he going? Bains, just came from Juco so where he going? Parham, just came from Juco so where he going? Pipes, starting with lots of minutes so where he going and why? Bell, getting time but being productive with room to grow as he settles into his role so where he going and why? Patterson, getting plenty of minutes and starting to play right into his role and being productive so where he going and why? Chevalier, working his way into playing time and getting better each game so where he going and why? Crist, getting time (prior to injury) and learning on the job after coming from a Prep School after high school because of an injury so where he going and why? 2 Walk-Ons who trying to work their way into a scholarship for next year if possible so where they going? You want a team with 13 to 15 strong guys which means you will have some positions with multiple players and that's good for practice and competition within the team. You need other players to push players so they don't just think they fine especially since the rest of the Horizon League isn't going to just give them a pass. Just my thoughts as I look at the team and I don't see anyone leaving but I could be blind to what you know... PSS... I have no idea if coach would ask someone to leave as I know that happens too.

We have 4 open scholarships? McCloud took one right? That would mean 3 with 1 gone (McCloud) so 2 remaining at the moment.

Only guy I COULD see leaving is Parham- as he is not playing nearly the role I think he thought (and many of us thought) he would before the season started. He also has two years of eligibility left.
Also noticed he retweeted Jon Rothstein's story about "NCAA to meet soon regarding immediate eligibility for transfers"....just saying
Anyone else would be crazy to leave.

He def has ability, we have seen his shot and he can hit them. He just needs time to adjust and work on his defense/shot selection.

I don't have any inside information that I am sharing nor am I trying to start a scandal.
I think players want to play and if they aren't playing or not happy for some other reason they will go. I don't think that every player holds their 4 seasons in 5 years as dearly as fans think they would. I write that just based on what I have watched during the last 15 years.
Guys like Cole Stefan and D'Angelo Jackson played at 3 different D1's including GB. For that matter McCloud who is coming in next year will be on his 3rd D1 program. For various reasons guys like Seth Evans, Daniel Turner, Brent Eaton, Kam Cerroni, Chop Tang, Brandon Hansen, and Lamin Fulton were playing but moved down a division to play somewhere else. Guys like Jarvis Williams and Terry Johnson had sat out a year and perceived they were being recruited over and wanted to play more so they went to Mankato and Oklahoma City (NAIA). Guys like Clayton Heuer and Derek Semenas sat out a year, then didn't play big roles and dropped down to D3 and NAIA to become important players on teams. Guys like Nick Arenz, Chase Sukut and Henry Uwadiae didn't play much and dropped down to lower levels to play. Guys like Terry Parker and Trevor Anderson went to other D1 programs even though played plenty as young players. Guys like Uriel Segura, Tyler Koenig and Simon Farine were playing as young players but were a combinaiton of homesick and not likely to ever be major players so they went back to Texas, North Dakota and Canada. GB just had Kerem Kanter become a grad transfer. I am pretty sure Aaron Armstead had to go to a Juco to keep his grades in order, though he was playing as a freshman and part of a highly touted recruiting class. Sulton Muhammed, Josh Humphrey and Ryan Werch stopped playing college basketball all together with a year of eligibility left on the table.
I don't know if Sandy will go pro, go grad transfer or stay. I could make a case for any of the freshmen or sophomores to stay or go based on distance, playing time, future depth chart etc. I could make a case for Parham and Bains to drop down if they feel they are being recruited over since they don't play a lot. I could make a case for them to stay since they seem happy and the staff was high on them. I just know from watching this program for a long time that a lot of players move around for a lot of reasons, some of which I don't agree with or understand. It just struck me as odd that all of the offers are to JUCO players. That could be a sign the staff doesn't want to wait around for player development at some positions or there are plans that fans don't see coming. It also could mean nothing and just these are the best players they can recruit in this cycle.
For the record even though some of the guys drive me nuts when they get in games, they still wear jersey's that say Green Bay on the front and I want them all to do well and finish their playing careers at GB.

Let’s just finish the year before we speculate on players leaving.

In regards to Juco, if you already have 5 freshman on the team, the Juco route seems the way to go for upper class men and having some experience in your Junior and Sophomore class to go with those freshmen makes sense to me? No matter what you still try to win now even as you develop guys.

The team next year will have two seniors (Cohen and Bains), 4 juniors (Kam, Cody, Parham and McCloud) and the five sophomores in the 2017 recruiting class. If they added two more JUCO players they would have 6 juniors. That does seem like a good win now and maybe lose later move. This year they are working through the aftermath of a 6 man class graduating. I would be surprised if they wanted to go that direction again. I don't mind if they add another upper class player. I would just like to make sure they get a 4 year guy as well.

He played 2 years at SJSU, sat this year and can play his next two years at GB. greenbayphoenix.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2038
