Unlike us wright st and northern Kentucky won their games on the road against pathetic god awful teams
This makes Saturday's game even more of a must win
Lose and we are in fifth place in a very weak league

NKU fell to Youngstown, keeping us in the hunt for a top 3 seed!

Wondering about the Anderson factor? His outside shooting could have meant two more "W" for this team. His absence was felt. How much rust is there?

Slocum "finally" out at Youngstown. Heard he is officially retiring

Just wondering: Any post season play for the Phoenix men?

Looks like Waters is out at Cleveland State. Really the only two jobs that were in doubt after the season appear to be open.

Just wondering: Any post season play for the Phoenix men? I'd assume a CBI or CIT bid is possible. Vegas 16 is iffy and I'm surprised that tourney is still around. All of them are pay for play so I guess if we really want to, we will. I, for one, hope we do accept a bid because more basketball is always better imo.

Waters and Slocum both seem to run clean program and have had some moments. With that said both programs have challenges that need a new voice and vision to help with. I don't find it surprising that LeCrone is talking about the bottom of the league and now every bottom feeder has finally turned over the staff. I hope these schools choose wisely and help rebuild the league.
The Vegas 16 is still around? I would have guessed after last year that it would quietly go away! Any post season is better than no post season for this Phoenix fan.

www.nycbuckets.com/cbicit-tracking/This site tracks the bids and teams that seem interested. If Green Bay were to host, I would think we would hear something by Thursday or Friday to get the word out. Otherwise we may not know what they do until after the selection show

Just a few names that came to mind for the Ohio jobs:
Former head coaches in Ohio: Brian Gregory, Billy Donlon
Assistant coaches in Ohio: Travis Steele at Xavier, Chris Jent at Ohio State and Larry Davis at Cincy
Assistant coaches who have worked in the general area that fans would be excited by: Dane Fife and Brandin Knight (Pitt, now Rutgers)
Current head coaches who might get fired but would be home runs for these jobs: Jim Christian at Boston College and John Groce at Illinois
Coach who should take a new job before he is fired but is good at rebuilding bad programs even if he can't get over the hump: Tod Kowalczyk

I love the idea of this tournament but it is probably better that it isn't going to happen. That is kind of short notice to play a Vegas trip and it happens later when people are coming down from the high of March Madness. I think GB can scrap together the money to play in the CIT/CBI.

Good to see that both Oakland and Valpo got NIT bids but have to go on the road.......Valpo has a chance to take advantage of the coaching change at Illinois and steal a win.

Don't count on Valpo stealing a win from Illinois. The only coach gone at this time is the head coach. All the other coaches are still on staff until after the tournament and plus Illinois has 2 six year seniors plus other seniors that have a bitter taste in their mouth... I would be really shocked if Valpo beat them...
