The Cohen news isn't surprising based on how the rotation was shaking out. He would be a nice player for GB but until I know more about his eligibility I'm not going to get too excited. Plus GB still needs big guys with these scholarships in my opinion.

From the Journal-Sentinal:
While Cohen's future plans are not fully known, he would have to sit out a year if he were to transfer to another Division I school to continue his basketball career. Also, in the eyes of the NCAA, he would have used up three years of his eligibility because he appeared in games in three seasons at Marquette.
Thus, if he were to transfer to a Division I school and did so after this semester, he would be able to use the last of his eligibility next spring after sitting out a year. Because the NCAA allows players five years to play four, he also could opt to sit out all of this season and next before using his final year of eligibility to play the entire 2018-'19 season.
So IF he would come to Green Bay, we would have to wait pretty much two seasons to see him. That's a long time for just a year of a player. Plus we would have to give him a scholarship next year to ride the pine. I'll pass.

If I were him I would sit for 1.5 years to play the full 5th year. That seems like a tough use of a scholarship for a program though, 2.5 years to play 1.
Just guessing here but Western Kentucky is the new Iowa State, they take in tons of transfers so maybe he goes there. If he came to GB and walked on for next semester, then sat on scholarship for 1 year it would be 2 for 1. Similar to Warren Jones at that point which I could get behind.
I hope for the best for him. He must have been really unhappy at MU to leave at this time.
Drakes head coach resigned today, I wonder what this means for Kirk. His high school teammate is Bell. Maybe he will come join up with him at UWGB. Still one open scholarship available.
Drake has a number of guys that GB had recruited in the past. The only issue is most of them are guards. While they all may be very talented and possibly looking for a new home I think GB needs a big guy with the last scholarship. As things stand next year they will only have Kerem, David and Will. After that the only big guy is Will. In my opinion they really need 2 big guys but I don't see the scholarships to make that happen.
Don't know anything about this kid since it was a few years ago. I just have seen his name mentioned before. So I figured I would post it.
Probably not a surprise to some fans. DeBerry bounced around a little bit before landing at Kent State. I am not sure why it didn't work out but fits with his past. He looks the part and really wasn't a bad mid major player. I will be curious to see where he lands.
In the Badgers box score it looks like Pritzl is starting to play. Cody Schwartz plays like a big guard but he starts again for SJSU. Marquette landed a highly touted big man transfer from SMU, not sure what means for Heldt given their entire class is big. I suppose that really isn't GB recruiting related more just keeping tabs on N.E. WI guys who were recruited by GB at some point.
I would guess GB has 1 scholarship open with Cohen and Turner in the mix now. I still think they need a big guy. Do they have their eyes on a JUCO or D1 Transfer because I don't read any high school names being associated with GB? I would hope they have it figured out and don't have to go deep into the spring and get a project player.
Also, I would love an in season update on the Brown twins progression during this red shirt year. They don't look a lot bigger, are they going to be contributing next season?
