There's time. Darner and Herbst were able to put together a heck of a class late in the 2014 recruiting cycle. The Nix are half way there with three solid commits so far. My guess is at least one JUCO recruit and a transfer player will be added. Is Carter waiting for a scholarship?

That is too bad that Jacobs committed to SIU. I like his upside and the way he attacks. In the quotes from Jacobs SIU, GB and UTEP were his final 3. Roy Schmidt wrote "But as time went along, the Bulldogs and Phoenix ended up filling their guard needs in the 2017 class." So who knows were GB really stood with him.
I would guess Carter is waiting on a scholarship for next year if he does well this year. That would balance the class.
I know my track record isn't good but I am sticking to my guns and I still would like them to land Manny Patterson in this class.

What's in the water at UIC? They have Elijah Joiner coming in for an official visit I a couple weeks.
They are bringing in some solid players, anybody know how?

My guess is equal parts McClain doing a good sales job, Chicago players looking for a legit place to play at home (only have 4 D1 city options with DePaul, Loyola, UIC and Chicago State) and maybe something about Joiner that bigger schools are backing off. He went from Missouri and Iowa State visits with interest from Xavier, Illinois State and St. Louis to visiting UIC and maybe Tulsa. I personally am not sold on UIC. I agree they have 2 or 3 young talented players with some others that may prove to be just as good. I think with the higher talent level comes higher expectations and I am not sure how good of a coach McClain is. He has this year and maybe next to start winning big before talented kids say it is the same old UIC and the current roster of talent starts looking around at other options like Cleveland State has experienced in the past.

Joiner at UIC this weekend and Tulsa next weekend, he cancelled Missouri and Iowa State. That just seems odd. UIC is desperate to continue to build up talent and has a coach who seems a little slick. Tulsa has a coach who has had recruiting violations at two previous stops as a head coach. I hope this is all on the up and up but it isn't passing the smell test for me right now.

Unlike last year we will have recruiting to worry about during the season. With three open scholarships to fill, things should get interesting.

A mid-year transfer into the program wouldn't surprise me, that a JUCO and a prep players.

Early signing starts on 11/9 and goes to 11/16. In addition to the three guys we know about I wonder if GB has any other guys lined up?

Looks like Manny Patterson will wait until the spring to sign.

After watching the start of this season I think GB needs guys who can make ft's, 3's and are big. The returning big guys will leave GB hurting up front next year.

Would Sandy consider coming home and transferring to GB?

Would Sandy consider coming home and transferring to GB? Really interesting timing. If the NCAA doesn't grant him a waiver for the 3 games (19 minutes total) he's appeared in this season, he will only have 1 semester of eligibility remaining, right?

He's only a junior iirc so he would at minimum have a full year. Love to have him here!
