Uh-oh for Bollant.....Such a downfall for a coach who brought the GB program to new heights. Unfortunately, he hung his hat on an assistant who has questionable coaching methods.
Unless Bollant takes the Illini program to the NCAA's next season, I don't see him surviving this. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a settlement or if this got to trial that Bollant would be fired assuming any court action happens before the start of the season.

I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop and it just has.
The shame for those involved is just beginning.

I will withold my judgement until the final outcome. However, if this is true, it is not good and am glad they left Green Bay.
I am always leery of complaints when a monetary lawsuit is filed as it makes me question the true motive of people.

The "internal investigation" was a stacked deck resulting in a "whitewash" and the termination of a (deserving) scapegoat, and
The "external investigation" is being conducted by Pugh, Jones and Johnson, a law firm that while minority owned and managed has been hired by the UofI to represent their corporate interest and figure out how best they can defend themselves against the accusation laid - not represent the interests of the players. Do you have any doubt as to what their finding will be if they ever even have a finding?
I wonder where-else/how-else these women are supposed to make sure their grievance is fully addressed?
There's a lot of hooha going on right now about an old flag. This matter is a little more current. The UofI messed up at the internal investigation stage. They could have made this go away then. They didn't. That was a mistake. The fat's in the fire now.

The outcome of that "study" was a foregone conclusion. I doubt there will a trial in the lawsuit. The settlement will be sealed. The whole thing is a disgrace.

I can't say I'm surprised the University's legal review found no basis for the student's accusations. If they did- then the lawsuit provided by the former students would be a forgone conclusion that the school was guilty. Not sure what this means for the players' lawsuit but I do believe that unless Illinois makes some major moves in the Big Ten- Bollant's lease got very short.

Sexual harassment suit of the University of Illinois Women's Basketball team costed 643,000. That equates to one year's worth of travel by their basketball team. 2013-2014 the women's program lost 2.1 million dollars. That amount of suit is equivalent to one year eight months and 7 days of Matt Bollant's salary. Wow must be nice for a program that has that kind of money to spend....I heard the annual athletic budget for all sports @ UWGB is approximately 11 million.
