Green Bay had 6'7" JUCO forward Jamar Hurdle on campus this weekend. He played this past season at Des Moines Area Community College.
He played high school ball at Milwaukee Madison.

I watched the video and he can definitely get up. Wow. Looks a little thin but that was highschool. If you notice in one of the clips he is being guarded by Jerrelle deberry.

Sounds like Hurdle is coming to GB. Another solid 'get' for Darner & Co.
While I'm typically not a fan of going the JUCO route for recruiting, I think the new staff has done a good job of getting guys that can make an immediate impact, as well as mixing in some HS Class of 2015 recruits in the Brown twins.
One concern is this gives the squad, barring red shirts, six players in the class of 2017 (Lowe, Uwadiae, Botz, Cooper, Hurdle, Findlay). I imagine we'll see this same sort of recruiting pipeline where it's a mix of JUCO and HS Seniors. I'm fine with this as long as it doesn't turn into the TK era where 4 of 5 starters are JUCO players. One nice thing about Wardle's classes were having the chance to see kids grow over the course of their four years.

This is a good signing. Fills a need and can contribute right away. Hopefully he can solid playing time, I see no reason why not. Cheers!

Solid addition to the team. We needed a big man, although for the sake of balancing out the classes, we would have preferred someone from the HS ranks. We will have 6 seniors as gbalum2007 pointed out earlier in '16-'17. Nonetheless, we get a combo forward which will give Linc some versatility and quickness up front. This could allow Fouse (or even Botz if he can find new life under Linc) to play some at the 3 in stretches and allow Linc to go big up front as situations dictate, assuming that Hurdle can run the floor (and not camp out in the lane in the halfcourt) as required in Linc's system.

Hurdle's a winner!
The DMACC Bears made it to the Final Four of the NJCAA D2 National Championship. Hurdle was First Team All Region as team's leading scorer on a team that ran up some impressive scores. He's a shot blocker. He may be prone to turn the ball over a bit - something that Linc will work on with him. Looks like he plays well above his stated height. He's another gifted athlete that I think will work well in the Linc System. (I suspect he's filled out some since those HS vids - now shows 6'7" 200.)

Way to go! This winning stuff is contagious!
Linc didn't make the transition to D1 or recruit a bunch of winners to play .500 ball. I think the Nix will do better than that.

There is a lot to like in those video clips and agree that he looks to play bigger than he is. At this point in the cycle I am pleased. In BW's first class he brought in Jarvis Williams and Hurdle looks to be every bit the player that Jarvis was or could have been. Welcome to GB Jamar!

O.K., Linc, you can comment on Hurdle now!
(I really think this is great. Linc didn't leave the cover bare over here either. We've got some nice new talent coming in. Glad there was enough to go around!)

I like the signing. I may get butchered here, but reminds me of a less skilled JP Tokoto (sp?).

A taller, less skilled JP Tokoto? He should be a good fit for what Linc wants to do.
