Illinois-Springfield @ Green Bay Sunday, December 30, Noon, at The Resch Center Rob Demovsky's blog tells us this game has been moved to noon because the NFL has changed the gametime for the Packers game. I think I like the noon gametime better than the originally scheduled 6:00 gametime. I don't understand why this game wasn't played on Saturday, the 29th? I wish coach Wardle would revisit Cole Stefan's suspension and get him in the mix for this game. That would be better for the team, rather than having his 1st game being on the road in an important conference game.

I looked at UIS's website. They don't look big or that succesful this season. Let's see GB jump on them. The key in this game is building on the 2 game win streak and not coming in like the team has already accomplished something and starting with a let down. Stay hungry!
If Cole is as good as expected it might be better for there to be no tape on him when they get on the road to start conference play. I do like that Wardle seems to have discipline, that is a lot more than other teams who only want to win.

It will be good to get DT back in the mix today. His stats suck but he plays hard and the guys respond to him.
I would guess the Keifer has a big game. I can't imagine that UIS has anyone that can consistently stay in front of him.
This could be a good chance for Carrington and Jordan to get a little rhythm against lower competition. I think they are both doing a great job this year but getting used to the college game hasn't been easy for them.

Good win. The guys did exactly what you would expect them to do. For a little bit gb got sloppy with the pace of the game but once they got past that they really blew it open.
Solid game from Keifer. Alec looked really confident. Greg was the only guy who never had a good feel for this game even though he had several fun plays.
Wardle was really teaching which is nice to be able to do in a game.
The second season starts now, can they build on this streak and live up to expectations is the question.

Good win. The guys did exactly what you would expect them to do. Agreed. When you play a bad D2 team, blow them out. Milwaukee and Wright St also played bad D2 teams this weekend, and neither won convincingly. Sultan Muhammad was outstanding in this one. He's really starting to find his comfort zone in the offense. Unlike some of the recent 3 point shooters the Phoenix have had who were set shooters, Muhammad shoots a true jump shot. He gets excellent lift, giving him open looks even when he has just the slighest opening. He's now shooting 44% on 3s this season. He is also strong finishing around the basket, and can defend his position. He also doesn't turn the ball over. Alec Brown was strong offensively for the 2nd straight game. Still hoping he can get back to being a shotblocking presence. That still didn't happen today. It was Keifer Sykes 19th birthday today. He was awesome, as usual. Happy Birtthday Keifer! Here's Andew Gavin's recap: Muhammad shoots the Phoenix past the Prairie Stars
