Welcome him back and hope he appreciates a second chance. This could make or break the Nix season. The team has depth again but ill it have chemistry?

Welcome him back and hope he appreciates a second chance. This could make or break the Nix season. The team has depth again but ill it have chemistry? Coog's has always been a fan favorite. I've also wondered about the chemistry, they seem to have gotten that in the last couple of games. Really seem to be playing as a team, and playing 2 halves. Sykes has been taking over at the beginning of the 2nd half to make sure we don't have our usual slow 2nd half start.

Cougs suspension was NOT caused by a legal matter. I can't comment any further other than to say I'm happy it's in the past.
His return is important, let us not forget this team lost AT HOME to a mediocre SIU team without Cougs. That was the worst loss of the season.

"What Cougill did has been done by so many students before him, and he's already paid a much higher price for his actions than a regular student would".
I disagree, based on the fact that a regular student pays his or own way to the University. He should have been held to a higher standard. It is understood that BW runs a pretty tight ship and am assuming he had guidance/approval from the University's governing board to reinstate him.
In addition, BC's suspension was for 3 1/2 games, while Stefan's was for 3. I would strongly argue there is an inequity here. With today's news, I would say Cole should have been playing two games ago.
As I said earlier, I am anxious to see Cole play.

Since I don't know what he did it is hard for me to judge if the punishment was fair. I don't get the sense that Wardle would bring him back if he didn't think it was fair. With the team record in the toilet he suspended the 2nd leading scorer, makes me think Wardle does have the priorities straight.
As a general rule my opinion would be that athletes should be held to a higher standard than the general student body. Athletes represent the school and need to remember that. I also believe people should be given a second chance. These are young men, they are still learning and growing.
Once he returns I would like to see him come off the bench for a while. I like what Greg Mays is doing right now and I wouldn't want to break that up.

Here's a copy of Cougill's statement to the GB Press Gazette on his suspension.
University of Wisconsin-Green Bay senior forward Brennan Cougill offered some clarity today about the suspension that kept him out for four games.
He was suspended for a violation of team rules.
“I made a poor decision academically,” Cougill said.
Cougill, the team’s second-leading scorer (12.7 ppg), was reinstated last week and will make his return in tomorrow’s Horizon League opener at Wright State.
“I ended up taking care of what I needed to take care, and I had faith that the coaches would take me back,” Cougill said. “But I just had to let them know how sorry I was, and how grateful I’d be if they let me back.”
