Green Bay (3-3) @ Virginia (5-2) Saturday (12/1) 3:00 on FSWisconsin and ESPN3 Andrew Gavin tells us Saturday's Game at Virginia to Be Televised by FS WisconsinThat is one of the great things about playing bigtime teams, we get TV coverage. That now puts 6 of Green Bay's 11 remaining road games on TV. I'm sure some watched Virginia down Wisconsin at the Kohl Center last night. Tony's team is really starting to come together. Joey Harris is an offensive machine. This game will be a huge task for GB on Saturday, but it will be fun to watch their growth.

I was there and thoroughly enjoyed the Virginia win.
When UWGB goes to the Kohl, it will be like playing on a neutral court. The atmosphere (and attendance) has been degrading over the last few years and is not as much of a home court advantage as it was in the past (except for the occasional big game).

I usually cheer for Wisconsin but found myself a bit satisfied with the Virginia win.

Rob Demovsky's preview today tells us some interesting things about Sultan Muhammad: Muhammad lifts Phoenix Phoenix outside gameI really like the defensive quickness Muhammad brings to the starting lineup. The Nix were letting opposing shooters get hot early in the game all too often. I think the real key to keeping today's game competitive is the Joey Harris match-up. I'm guessing Jordan Fouse gets the assignment. Fouse has been outstanding, but this is his toughest task yet. Hopefully his length can help contest most of the shots Harris gets early. Also important is to keep the rest of Virginia from going off. Muhammad will need to keep Jesperson quiet. He hasn't scored much yet, but he is capable of getting hot from long range. Virginia struggled there 1st 3 games when both of their PG's were out, but has been very good since. Jontel Evens, their only senior in their rotation, is still getting back in the flow after an injury. He is an outstanding defender, the work he does versus Kiefer Sykes will be key today. The Nix also need to take care of the ball. They can't let turnovers lead to easy baskets. Virginia will protect the lane 1st. Even though GB has a big size advantage up front, Virginia will collapse on the post and force our outside shooters to make 3s. That's a tough task on the road. Very cool that todays game is on FS Wisconsin and ESPN3. Should be fun to watch, even though I'm not expecting a win. I do want to see growth and a competitive game.

Nix trail by just 4 at the half. They have been very strong in their man defense, but have ruined that by jumping into zone a few times and were burned by 3s.
Mays with a big boost off the bench. Muhammad has played very well and is really solidifying his spot.
The 2nd half will be a battle.

Virginia pulling away as Akil Mitchell dominates. GB doesn't have a PF with the quickness to stick with him.

Nix lose by 16 on the road versus the best team on their schedule. It's not a win, but I think we saw obvious signs of growth today.
