Listed at 6’10 and 273# per last seasons SIU team roster..….Probably the heaviest player GB has ever had.

Now we need more scoring wing guards/wing forwards. Another PG will help as well.

Milwaukee has one or two more open scholarships? Lovelace is a good replacement for bj freeman. To replace Reynolds in a guy like Pickett, hartle, Hammons, forte. We have two spots left. We're hoping Brody Robinson commits to us in the next couple days, I'm hearing it's between us and one more school. In the two years Lundy's been head coach, the player he's recruited to be our starting point guard has been injured for the year before the season started (Jordan Ratliffe in year 1, Pierce Spencer this year). It's odd to say but we haven't seen a Lundy Panther team with the player brought in to run the offense. I think the expectation is BJ's 21 ppg will come from a combination of Erik Pratt stepping up, AJ McKee and a bit of Lovelace. I don't know how much they're expecting Lovelace to be a scorer as much as a human wrecking ball. Anyways this isn't a Milwaukee board, it's the GB board so on to your new recruit: Scoring on Avila in that video. Nice. He's not going to jump out of the gym but he doesn't need to. If he plays a lot it will be because Green Bay elects for a slower pace. I see him as someone who is more of a recruit to battle Oakland and Cleveland State rather than someone to play a lot against Milwaukee or Wright State. Maybe you'll see more Cole Henry against the faster pace teams.

Looks like he'll have two years of eligibility.
Played in 31 games for the Salukis - started one. Averaged 6 points and 3.6 rebounds.
Shot 69% on FGs so obviously everything was around the basket. Did not attempt a 3 point shot.
But get this... shot a paltry 39% from the FT line on 27 of 70 shooting. The coaching staff has a challenge in front of them.
If he can play meaningful and productive minutes, a player that size can be a force in the Horizon League.

Get that FT % at least into the 60% range. This is going to be paramount if he's going to really flourish, otherwise he's gonna get hacked a lot.

Ebube is a massive man that is an offensive force in the post. There would seem to be no way this guy isn't in the rotation making an impact.
I don't know much about his defense or his ability to handle the ball.
However, he isn't some guy we have to wait two years before he can make an impact. He fills a gap in the roster and is a welcome addition on day one.

Amari Jedkins is for cornering the Lovelace and Davis. Scottie looks all 6’10 275 lbs he looks huge. Maybe to cover Brandon Noel. I disagree I think with Scottie size he has to cover fields at least a little bit he’s huge. Uwgb had no one that size last year byre and eames wern’t Antshak never even played.

Scottie ebuibe from siu. One thing that no one has pointed to siu had a great defense with coach monaghan now with Scottie and foster wonders and fosters defense will get better the offense and defense and will get more efficient with there guys then in did in year 1. Yes there was Noah but he wasn’t always healthy.

Hey Everyone. I am a huge fan of the UWGB in NY. I missed out on who we just got a commitment from. Can someone repost so I can do my research on them. Scottie Ebube, likely two years of eligibility - transfer from Southern Illinois at Carbondale. Link: Basketball Reference Stats69% shooting from the floor in limited 3.7 attempts per game. Awful 38.6% from the line. Six boards and 3.6 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. 10.5 points and 6.25 rebounds per 20 minutes. I spoke with a current MVC assistant this morning (well, texted) and he had a bunch of things to say. Here's the link to the screenshots of that conversation (he's cool with me posting it since it doesn't identify him or his school).

According to a guy who specializes in d3 hoops Gus Yaldens final 4 is st. Mary’s, Rutgers,Nebraska, uwgb. Now on the surface makes sense i saw that st. Mary’s might have some interest. Uwgb because he’s from Appleton. Nebraska because Wisconsin teammate Connor esseigan went there.

I want Searles badly for this team, far more than Yalden, who I have read is a headcase (may or may not be, I have no real idea) but Searles reminds me of a Jamar Hurdle-type and this team is missing that.

Searles definitely fills a gap in the roster. I think Sow would be great as well and fill that same gap.
Yalden is a mid major darling waiting to happen, he is a great fit for skill wise for how teams want to play. The current crop of GB big men haven't displayed any shooting range which would make him a great compliment to the roster.
Does Yalden have family in Nebraska or is his connection that his mom coached there?
