Going to be another tough game tonight. I think they’ll keep it within ten, but I can’t say I’m confident they’ll win. UIC hasn’t been overly impressive as of late, so if GB plays like they did against PFW or St Thomas, they’ll give themselves a chance to win.

Man, that end to the half was rough. But UIC probably had their best offensive half of the season and GB is only down 6, can’t complain too much about that.

Wow! Led for a total of of 0.7 seconds in this game. Unbelievable effort by this team. Never got down after all the threes UIC made and kept it close the entire game. And Reynolds showed why this is his team. What an awesome game.

What a big road win - and an exciting game to watch! Against unconscious 1st half shooting from UIC, the Phoenix stayed steady and clamped down the D in the second half. Our stellar free throw shooting-and getting to the line was the difference maker. Congrats team!

Each time GB got close to a comeback, UIC pushed the lead back out, except the last time. Resilience. Last week was tough, but this looked like the team we saw earlier.

Wow what a game!
I am not certain how Coach Wicks is determining his starting lineup, but I do like Douglas Jr. as a starter.
Nice to see a road game without the free-throw disparity we have seen in the past.
Reynolds was finally rewarded for driving to the hoop with a reasonable number of free-throws, given his style of play.

GB played a much tighter rotation in this game. Some of the guys that weren't able to match up athletically last week didn't get as much time as they normally do.
Marcus Hall was probably the least athletic guy and UIC spent so much time trying to attack him that they got away from sharing the ball like they did in the first half.
GB shot great overall and overcame the 3 point barrage with excellent free throw shooting. That was a big change from a month ago.
That crowd did not look like an MVC crowd. UIC has money to spend but they have a lot of work to do to get anyone to care about their program overall.

This was a classic example of bringing your own juice. The GB bench and the handful of Nix fans had more energy than UIC and their meager fan base. The current Green Bay team has fight and the coach made the right rotation decisions for the match ups against the Flames.
(FYI, I watched my first GB vs UIC game in the 1969-70 season.)

Interesting, “Frustrated of a losing program” is nowhere to be found today. Fella was about to stroke out after one loss to Western Illinois

That was the best win we have had in a long time. At least since before the Will Ryan days. UIC came into the night ranked 137 in Kenpom. It is refreshing to be able to watch these games and know we have a chance, after last year when you knew we were losing by 30. The work Sunny has already done is beyond impressive. This team has a legit chance to compete in the Horizon League each and every night.

I was likely at the game as well. I was friends with Terry Schott at the time.
