We go to Stanford for a Friday night game. Stanford doesn't have a great record, but are ranked at 64 in today's Kenpom rankings, which explains why we're going to be getting around 25 points on the betting line.
Their stat line doesn't scream at me - they don't seem to shoot 3's very well (28% on the year) for example, but clearly a talented team. A lot of tall and solid guys in their lineup. If our game plan is pound it inside to Meyer and Heffner, hopefully we have a plan B at the ready.
Looks like home games for Stanford get between 3k and 5k in attendance. I'll need to research availability of the Pac-12 network - seems like this was a cable channel at some point, but in a higher tier package? I'm thinking it is not a freebie on Roku though, but I hope so.

I unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) will not be able to catch a train down to Palo Alto in a timely fashion for this one, so looks like it'll be the Pac-12 Network for me, too. I have higher hopes for the Oregon State game than this one. As Barnzo pointed out, I think we are going to struggle to score even more than usual in this one. If we are to have any shot, our three point shooting is going to have to click. Costly, unforced turnovers need to stop, as well. If I see Brock leap into the air without having any clue where he wants to land again, I'll pull out whatever hair remains on my head. Get Zae involved early and hope we can actually shoot over 50% as a team.

I can't make a case for GB winning the game. With how much Stanford struggles to score you could make a case that GB will be competitive. However, nine double digit losses says otherwise. When they lose they do it in spectacular fashion and Stanford seems to have the same strengths GB has but with bigger guys.
On the bright side I would expect a sparse crowd. An early tip on the west coast for a home team with no momentum and students on break. If a team losses to the trees and nobody is there to see it does it still count as a loss? Or something like that.

Both the Stanford and Oregon games are available as part of a sports upgrade on Spectrum, I upgraded a while back for football but decided to keep it through the basketball season for FS2. At the time I did not think I would be picking up any Phoenix games. I think I will set it to record and either watch Marquette live or maybe catch a high school game.

Ah yes, I see the Pac-12 network channel on my regular Spectrum lineup, but alas I don't have access to it right now. I guess for a paltry $170 a month you can't expect much, I need to add the "Sports Tier". On my phone, it looks like the Pac-12 Now app will be showing the game, I presume with no hooks, and you can cast it to the TV, but the quality when I've done that just sucks. The audio and video lag, get out of synch and it's hard enough to watch at regular speed, haha!!!

My guess is that the app will make you verify you have a tv provider that carries and has access to pac 12 network before allowing you to stream it. I could be wrong but seems like that’s the case with most of these apps. Doesn’t look like YouTube TV has pac 12 network so it’ll be Marquette and the Blackhawks for me tonight.

Under 12 timeout and I didn’t think it was possible, but this team may have sunk even lower after last game. 1-9 from the field and TEN! turnovers in less than 9 minutes played. Surely this is just a parody of basketball and we are all just on some hidden camera show or part of some cruel social experiment or something.
Sure…talent gap, whatever, this isn’t even close to close to close to being anywhere near competitive.

We may not hit 30 tonight

All we need to do is hit 12 3-pointers in the next six minutes while shutting Stanford out, and we’re back in the game. 32 points at this juncture would be dismal for a 6th grade team.

To me this feels similar to the Wisconsin game last year - score is similar

I didn't want to do the "phade" bet because I thought we could maybe cover the 25, how could I be so foolish?

27 turnovers
Garren Davis - 4 turnovers in 6 minutes
Some of our shots can't be properly described with just the word "missed"

Same, I was gun-shy because the Bucks killed me last night, but I should've known that this would be an absolute annihilation

Do they know that they don't have to lose in spectacular fashion? That was meant to be a joke! Good gracious that was not enjoyable.
For those who missed it on TV you didn't miss anything. For those that didn't bet it well now you know to bet until proven otherwise.
The only positive is a cliche but it is all we have. They are still 1-1 in league play and have a road games to start that might be winnable (OU).
