I just take this for what it is a prediction. It will be an interesting season with a lot of questions marks across the whole league. There were enough teams that lost good players. I happen to think that the team is improved at every position, but it is still a young team. This prediction should light a fire under these guys. They have something to prove.

I agree, improved at all position. Thank God there will be names on all the team's uniforms. The 1969-70 team had fewer new players and that was the first season as a four year school. (the team had several athletes that played for GB when it was a two year UW center. The Nix have more question marks than one of those dumb Tucker Carlson monologs. What we do know is Ryan and Company will have more options than last season. This is a reload and because of that predictions by outsiders are nearly, if not completely impossible. Barring early defections, the depth could serve this team well in March.

I don't expect to see a single prediction site have GB higher than 10th. I think they will finish better than that but I understand having them low to begin the season.
However, there is zero case to be made looking at the rosters of each team that IUPUI should be picked ahead of GB.

Well that comment aged well. Lindy's picked GB 9th.
Lindy's is the first publication not drinking the Lundy Kool aid.

The GB preview is pretty much we don't know who anyone is and because the sentiment of most prognosticators is negative we won't predict anything different.
For other teams that are expected to be better the author was willing to make predictions on players but for GB the wide open position battles is an issue.

I think he did a good job previewing the whole league. He did do his homework. He did forget some wildcards, like Randy Tucker. I look fora bounce back year from him. Remember last year they struggled to put 7 players on the floor at times and I think he put to much pressure on himself, so we will see what happens this year. Then there is Clarence Cummings. I think that he could possibly start at the small forward and brings defensive toughness, rebounding and athletic ability and Brock Heffner, who I think brings an inside presence, toughness and rebounding and just maybe Basile 2.0. A shout out to Grafton. Jack Rose could be a lock down defender with a mid range jump shot. This years team seems to have a couple of leaders which is a good thing. I worry more about the defense and the turnovers. You know the saying, offense sells tickets and defense wins championships. Being realistic this is a young team and I don't expect championships, but I do want to see growth and to win some close games this year. Some of you guys are saying we have to win now. How many wins is win now?

"the team needs to be winning immediately."
This is what I wrote in another thread. I am not saying they need to win the league this year or anything like that. However, if you want to see this program win the league by the time Cade graduates then they need to be winning a heck of a lot more than 5 games this season. It's rare to go from 5 wins to 25 wins in one year. However, we should never expect less than 16 and always be in range to have a team that isn't far away from 20+ wins.
This team may be new but it has enough players to think a winning record shouldn't be an amazing accomplishment that is out of reach.

Randy tuckers second year in the system I hope his shooting improves. Lots of Phoenix fans think it will be new starting guards Davis, zeigler, or Blake. But Tucker and Cummings have similar body types strong tall around 210? Good on defense can rebound shoot would be interesting together. Athletic. Last year uwgb had only 7 guys sometimes. Having around 13 guys and hopefully no one transferring during the season will help. Hopefully less injuries and less guys with Covid but not controllable things.
