Does the fact that they are still offering players for 2012 give us some insight regarding Stefan's health? I'm not sure. Wardle never gave a timetable of how long Stefan would need to prove his health. Even with Stefan, I'd like to add more depth to open next season, especially if Stefan needs to sit out the 1st semester. I think they'd like to add someone if they can get someone they love.

Here's some video of Phoenix target Jeremiah Jones. He is #10. Lots of talent at that program again. #32 Aaron Ross, is headed to Texas Tech, and the PG, #1 Jacoby Davis, has numerous high major offers. They have a few other D1 players. #3, Quinn Williams, was the PG on Daniel Turner's HS team his senior year. Along with being an accomplished shooter, Jones is also well built. We've had very few players enter this program with that kind of build. This video was from very early in the season. I wish there was something available from later in the year, but I haven't been able to find that. It would be interesting to see how his game has evolved over the course of the season. A little bit of a different kind of recruit for Wardle, as almost everyone he's recruited has been described as a pass 1st player.

I have no idea what they told Stefan when he agreed to transfer to GB. I would imagine if you are Coach Wardle and you can get a potential contributor to pay his own way for as long as possible and then use that scholarship on another player that is just good planning.
Based on the type of player they are still recruiting I think that says a lot about the staff thinking they still need to upgrade the wing players.

Michael Orris has coommitted to K-state. This article makes it seem like the Phoenix aren't making a move for one-time target Milton Doyle. Seems like the roster might be set, as they've made a few 2013 scholarship offers in the last week.

Muhammad averaged 6.6 rpg and 2.2 spg as a sophomore. That's pretty impressive, especially the rebounding at his size. I wonder if he's the lockdown perimeter defender I was hoping for?

I wonder if they're still offering kids for this class or if they just plan on giving the last scholarship to Cole Stefan?
Jeremiah Jones has signed with Duquesne, Milton Doyle is still available but is getting looks from high majors like Kansas, Marquette, and Nebraska

I like the stats for Sultan. I am a little concerned about his height as a shooting guard and I am little concerned that his stats came at a lower level of juco ball. If he was recruited as a stop gap because Wardle knew that Armstead was leaving that isn't too bad this late in the game. If was recruited to be an impact player I think I would have preferred a combo of Cerroni/Stefan/Armstead at the off guard.

You now have a 2-guard situation with Cerroni and Muhammad sharing minutes until Stefan can take the court in January. That is not bad. Muhammad looks like a smart ballplayer. He rebounding numbers show some athleticism and the level of ball doesn't concern me. I think the Nix have a Baker type player with a slightly better outside shot. The writing was on the wall with Armstead when his family moved to California.

Milton Doyle, who had committed to Kansas but recently left the team, says he is deciding between Loyola and Green Bay with a decision expected early next week

Doyle will be a great addition to the Horizon League, whether he picks Loyola or Green Bay. Huge cue when you consider just 5 months ago Kansas won a battle for him over Marquette and Nebraska, among others. Waiting a year to see Doyle on the floor as he redshirts this season as a transfer isn't a big issue considering we weren't going to add anyone with this scholarship anyway. The Nix are very lucky to have a scholarship available, as without it we wouldn't have this oppurtunity. Doyle was one of the top 5 players in last years Illinois HS senior class. Adding him would only strengthen Green Bay's presence in the greater Chicago area. His length and athletism is much need at guard in Green Bay. Hopefully today's visit goes well, and the former Marshall HS star decides to play with former Marshall standouts Keifer Sykes and Alohonso McKinnie. Here is another story on the Doyle saga.

I like GB's chances here for the following reasons:
1. Since Doyle has to sit out that sets up very well for GB. He would be eligible at a time when the only two clear shooting guards on the team would be entering their senior years (Kam and Sultan) so he has a path to plenty of playing time.
2. The Marshall high school connection.
3. GB is probably a lot closer to winning than Loyola is.

Also, if they get Doyle than that closes out the recruiting for 2013. Otherwise looking at the roster I would expect Humphrey, Muhammed or even Botz to be moving on if they still want to land Lowe.
I am probably way too far ahead of myself on this one.
