I like Utah Valley I think they have some 7’0 footers who be good to play them come conference time with Moses Bol I was at the Milwaukee game he was a beast. Uwgb was leading and Bol blocked everything looking like matumbo he could of said no no no like him. But I like uwgbs bigs this year cade, brock, amari, donovan. I hope it will be better against Wisconsin against crowl it will take a couple of them. And wahl will take a couple of guys.

Georgetown has the son of dietembe mutumbo. Ryan Mutumbo is his name. He is a seven footer. Like his dad. They have other seven footers. At least it should have them better prepared for crowl. Or going against Georgetown, Wisconsin, and possibly Utah valley seven footers can only be a positive thing for the conference season when they have to face Milwaukee’s Moses Bol or other bigs.

Loyola Chicago has former Oakland guard Brayden Norris. He averaged 10 points per game. And 4 assists. That’s a nice little reunion.

Georgetown does indeed have several really tall players, some that have actually proven to be capable.
It is an interesting opportunity for GB. On one hand they aren't likely to pound the ball inside. On the other G-Town will need to play some better guards. I'm not saying GB will win this game but this game is winnable for a mid major that plays well.
I will be surprised if Moses Bol ever repeats his performance from the 2nd UWM game again. He should have been called for enough fouls to foul out twice but he wasn't and he made an impact. In the new UWM offense he can't play in space and may not be able to keep up the pace.

Games at Loyola Chicago, Wisconsin and Georgetown confirmed. Not happy about the Wisconsin game. Literally nothing good comes from that game. Loyola has a very young team this year, it is a good time to play them. They are in the A10 and have currently have a lot of name recognition. Meanwhile GB is coming off of a 5 win season and will be picked to be in the bottom two of the HL again this year. With all of that said I don't think this game is out of reach for GB. I also think you are going to see two similar styles of basketball being played in this game. Also, it makes me cry seeing how Loyola held down the HL for years and now is in the A10 while GB has hit what I can only hope is rock bottom.

The GB women released their schedule and they are hosting the Badgers on 12/14. With one set of game production staff, some cross over fans and in general putting all of the eyes in GB on the biggest name team that comes to the Kress it's safe to say this is why the St Thomas game was moved...

When Butler, Loyola and Valpo left the HL they didn't schedule a lot of their former peers from the Horizon League. UIC was still playing a series with Valpo and Loyola but I can think of very few times anyone else was able to get more than an occasional buy game.
In fact it kind of pains me to think that GB is having to play a buy game at Loyola, though I think that is better than playing a P5 game.
Anyway, I am pleased that UIC isn't taking the same road as the three private schools that left before them. I am sure this is at least a home and home with UIC. It is a game that GB has a chance to win and being on a Saturday with no Packers home game gives them a chance to have a good crowd at the Resch. Separately it also shows you the work that UIC has to do to get to an MVC level. None of the well financed and typically better teams from that league would be looking for a low travel cost home and home series with a former rival.

Really excited about this non-conference schedule. Very balanced schedule. Not too heavy but not a bottom of the barrel schedule like Wright State usually plays.
One down fall is the lack of home games. Next year we will have the return game of St. Thomas and then hopefully USI.

I saw on the uwgb website schedule Georgetown plays at the capital one arena where the wizards play it’s got be a cool experience to play in a nba arena but Georgetown could be a tough a opponent. Hopefully it’s on fs1. Hopefully the tv schedule comes out soon.

Good to see we have D1 programs on all the NC games, unlike the Linc era where we would have a couple D2 or D3 opponents on the regular season schedule.
Also good to see SNC and NMU on the exhibition slate.

I see some things I like and some things I don't like about this schedule.
Separate of my thoughts on the logistics, this team needs to win some games in the non conference. If they don't do that the pressure is going to mount.

Curious what all happened with the 11am game with IUPUI on 12/5 (IUPUI has no travel partner and is in MKE on 12/3) then GB playing a buy game at Loyola CHI on 12/6 (next day) vs the rumored game at Southern Indiana on 12/7? I hope GB didn’t take the cash vs Loyola and cancel the deal vs USI knowing they had to play the day before. I hope the contract with USI starts next year otherwise you have to question the decision or the league office screwed the Phoenix over.

Most of the non conference home games are the exhibition I couldn’t go anyways but people on here might remember Virginia with joe harris, Justin Anderson, and London perrentes all nba players. Marquette came to the Resch. Non conference games for me when I was I manager were the most fun at the Resch at the kress. St. Norbert has a winning percentage if you combine like the past 10 years is really good. Gary Greszk has interviews for uwgb mens basketball job including the last two times. He could of been uwgb mens basketball coach.

Why else would GB play a back to back? The 6th was probably the only day Loyola offered up and GB made it work. Horizon League schedule has probably been set for months. IMO wins against a D1 opponent are more important to me than cashing a check. There’s no gaurantee but GB had a very good chance to win that game against USI.
