Really good, complete player, plays just like his older brother. I'd love to land them both.

The more I pay attention the more I like Cal. I think he would fit very well in GB with his skills and he has good size for his position. If GB can get him and Lorenz to commit and sign this fall that would be really good for the future of the program.

Cal had a very good summer but from what I can tell didn't translate that into more D1 offers. Hopefully, GB is in good position to land him this fall.

This is good news for GB. I think Cal will be a very good player over his career and a nice compliment to the existing young players GB has.

Uwgb has given offers to Marcus Hall and Mac Wrecke. At the point guard position if Ziegler graduates and if there are transfers uwgb could be thin at point guard. I don’t really know if they can fill it in from the 2023 Wisconsin class?

With Cal in the mix I'm not too worried about getting another ball handler.
There are guys like Hardrick and Butler at prep schools that could be good enough and available in the spring.
There are guys like Burch, Shakur and Smith that are high school seniors that are considered D1 guys by various recruiting experts.
There are guys from the upper Midwest and Wisconsin in particular that are at other D1 schools now that may be in the portal in the spring.
If the team wins more games I think there will be less roster attrition. Even if there is high turnover again the team will be more appealing to potential replacement players.
Also, I am just making an uneducated guess here but I think Marcus Hall is a top recruiting priority and would like the vibe that GB is building with it's roster.

If this team is remotely close to 500 this year and we can keep the core together, it will be an appealing option to those players who hit the portal this spring. This is a big year for GB Hoops. We need to start building momentum.

An impressive 45 points from Cal tonight. Is he available to play Monday?
