The teams are right back at it today at 4pm on ESPN3.
We are going to find out what this group of GB players is made of.

GB is somehow favored again today. Will be interesting to see if any other degenerate gamblers join the forum just to trash our team lol.
Hoping for a nice bounce back today. Law of averages tells me IUPUI wont shoot 50% from three again and GB won’t shoot 22% again. But law of averages also tells me IUPUI shouldn’t be 6-1 against GB the past 4 years with 4 straight wins in Green Bay, so who knows.
Pretty much a must win game if GB wants to have any hope of hosting a first round tournament game because the schedule doesn’t get any easier from here with NKU next weekend and at UIC to finish the regular season.

Somehow someway we have to limit Minnett, Burk, Goss.
I want to see Thompson go at Goss more. He clearly has more strength than him just needs to finish at the hoop. Get Goss in foul trouble and that would be huge

Yeah I have no idea why guys like Claflin and Schaefer are getting minutes. It’s very clear that other guys on the bench are much better at this stage. Will doesn’t play a deep bench, which I’m not a fan of, especially in a year like this.

At wheeling he had a bench of 6 or 7 he said he would give Schafer minutes when Schafer committed and he has.

I was happy to see Ansong get a start and also question how the minutes are distributed.

Got scary towards the end but we pulled it off. Let’s hope this ends the struggles against IUPUI in the future.
A team we SHOULD always sweep year in and year out.

Manny Ansong is outstanding. When his GB career is over, he'll be considered one of our top transfers ever.

I mean you can cherry pick a single advanced metric here and there, but, you can’t tell me that someone like Paris Taylor shouldn’t be playing over guys like Claflin and Schaefer just based off the eye test alone.

And Jacob Jones and damontae Taylor those guys are scholarship players who would of played under darner probably and parris Taylor those three guys have athletic ability.

Sure, and if you want to continue to play undisciplined, fundamentally challenged basketball, those are your guys. Or you let the 2 young guys develop in practice while more prepared players play on game day. We knew when Taylor was recruited he was a raw, high upside longterm player, who needed significant development time. Jones was a projection to the D1 level. Taylor plays hard, but he's short and offensively challenged. If transfers happen, I wish them the best of luck. It will also give Ryan the opportunity to fill out the roster with more of his own recruits, and he's an outstanding recruiter.

Show me the advanced stats that tell a different story? Schaefer passes the eye test, he's a really good athlete, with skill. He was simply under-recruited because of his injuries. We're lucky Ryan landed him.

The reality is transfers happen in Division 1 college basketball. The last time I checked the average nationwide was 2.7 per school. Throw in a coaching change and the numbers go up even more. You add the ripple impact of the pandemic/free extra-year of eligibility and we will see an unprecedented number of transfers across the country. I suspect the Nix will be better off than most when all the dust settles.

I'm very happy that GB won this game, it was the bounce back that they needed. The final score is not indicative of how they controlled things.
The team is due for a hot shooting game from deep, look out for when that happens.
Kellogg with a solid game. He's had several of those recently. It's time for a Manny Ansong type leap for JK3 now that he's going in the right direction again. Manny was scuffling along for a bit and then he took a big leap in consistency and impact.
The only bad thing is PJ missed a FT!!
