Right back at it today at 4pm.
Lets see if GB can keep Rashad out of rhythm while containing Moore off the ball screen way better. Also, the rebounding battle needs to be tightened up.
When GB was up 12 yesterday I thought Oakland might roll over. Oakland has been in that spot several times this year and did in fact roll over. If you give them confidence they will hang around and have stolen 3 Horizon League wins at the end. I would love to see GB take the next step in winning and put a game away before the final minutes.

Well they would be hard pressed to play any worse than they did in the first 20 minutes. To be down only 7 feels pretty good, they actually have a chance to win if they turn around their quality of play.

This young team is well-coached. The guard depth is impressive. The bigs are a work in progress and need to hit the weight room in the offseason. Ansong will be special on the Davis level when all is said.

Like I said yesterday, they're a resilient team that now knows how to win.

Oakland is the kind of team that will fold if step on them enough. In the second half GB was relentless and Oakland folded. Their game became very selfish and it's hard to win 1 on 5.
Coach Ryan with a nice defensive adjustment on the Pick and Roll defense. That really changed things.
Manny with some highlights, he looked great with lots of energy.
Cem made some plays and he knew how to use his big body to slow OU down inside.
The big 3 guards and a rotation of scholarship forwards brought it home. It's one of the first times the most talented players on the team showed everyone they could seal the deal.
I appreciate seeing Kampe in meltdown mode. Will Ryan is not out of his league.
Overall I'm pleased to see them get a pair of wins. No more road splits, go get both in Detroit.

How about the resurgence of Josh Jefferson. These past two games he has been a totally different player. Making the extra pass, playing impressive defense and being a leader out there on the floor who the young guys can come too.
If Amari, PJ and Josh keep this up they truly are the best trio of guards in the Horizon League as someone had mentioned before.
Quick bit about other games: UIC was blown out of the gym by IPFW 88-55. I thought Coach Yaklich was a defensive machine?
CSU has looked great so far this year. Thought they were a bit overrated but sweeping NKU put that too bed. Would not be surprised to see Gates move on after this year, kind of like Jordan did from MKE to Butler. Looking forward to GB and CSU in a couple weeks.
MKE swept IUPUI, still dont MKE is a good team. Hope we match up with them in the Horizon League Tournament and send them home.
Wright State split with YSU. Wright State is not the untouchable team they once were. Could trouble be brewing at Wright State with the known financial issues while they pay Coach Nagy a half a million annual salary? Look for changes
Looking forward to Detroit Green Bay next weekend. Fingers crossed they play. As GBPhoenix1 said we now have a coach who won’t settle for a split. Go get them both!
