A little pro-tip to get a leg up on potential recruits: watch social media follows. Shortly before Cem officially committed, you saw coach Will follow him on Twitter. Same goes with guys that might receive offers.
Cem has good size and feel for the game. He uses both hands to finish, he can board and start the transition. He has some range on his jumper though that doesn't seem to be his primary focus. He has good post footwork.
He isn't an explosive athlete but if used correctly should be a contributor in the near future.
Overall he is a nice prospect especially at this point in the cycle.
A couple of additional thoughts. After Ryan's introductory nooz conference he headed back to West Virginia to wrap things up. With the pandemic and the logistics of a job change, my bet is Cem's recruitment was based on Ryan's established networking. The commitment probably was limited to Zoon video conferencing with no direct contact and no on-campus visit. Had Ryan been working Cem for his old school? BTW -- Tilton is a historic prep school. This recruit looks like a guy who would best fit a Bennett or Ryan Division One "system" -- a complimentary player to the more athletic athletes on the GB roster.
With two scholarships open Ryan has a lot of flexibility. My bet is an immediate eligible true post player or a transfer who will have to sit out a year and hold an additional scholarship for the 2021 class.
