Ouch. He didn’t get a lot of playing time but was generally effective when he did. The Phoenix were already lacking size, even more so now.

Sorry to hear this, I always thought he deserved more playing time.

As surprising as this was, it actually makes total sense. A majority of us thought he should’ve gotten more minutes. Why would he want to stay at a school that isn’t giving him the minutes he deserves? Best of luck to him. GB’s bigs have absolutely no size now.

Was the main reason we blew out NKU this year and then the following next two games against NKU he barley plays. The writing was on the wall for him to leave but it just sucks.

One of my favorite players over the years. Thought next year was looking up but maybe not if this keeps going.

YIKES! We are losing bodies.....Will Tank Hemphill be playing in the post next season? Who's our only big left on the roster besides Will Chevalier?

I don't like it - 2 of those full 4-year veterans in Patterson and Bell both leaving.

There have been some players for other teams who entered the transfer portal and returned to their team. I would certainly welcome him back.

I saw on Manny's twitter page that he has an offer from Northern Illinois If we say Northern Ill. is similar in stature to GB, then what would be the reason for leaving? If he went to Wisconsin, I say yea go for it if you can do it. To me this suggests some issues with playing time, system etc. 6'8" dudes are hard to come by so I hate losing him.

I doubt Manny thought he was going to end up at a high major. He was looking for a fresh start and an opportunity to play somewhere where he can start and get more minutes. Our coaching staff has had a hard time trusting him for whatever reason. I hope he ends up having a solid final year somewhere. I do not want to see him play GB so SEMO is the favorite so far for me.
