Let’s lock up that 3 seed and a bye tonight!
Hopefully this isn’t like the SNC game earlier today where the opposing team was in the bonus from the 17 minute mark on in the second half. Let these kids play and let’s get the W!

That was the 1st UWGB game I've been to in 3 years. The 1st half was fun. The 2nd half was awful in many ways including the officiating. My God those refs totally blew 2 easy block/charge calls that went against the Phoenix. That said, the Phoenix didn't help themselves much with just horrendously awful interior defense and lack of rebounding in the 2nd half.
The Phoenix won the game but were so out toughed in the 2nd half, it weirdly felt like a loss. Well, somehow they ended up in 3rd place in this league so they must not be too bad, but boy they looked awful to me in the 2nd half. Let's hope we never see that level of bad again this year.

It would have been the most Linc thing ever to blow a 20 point lead and have YSU come back at the end and take the 3. Thankfully it didn’t happen.
The talent is clearly not the issue with his teams: it’s the lack of adjustments when something isn’t going right. Again that falls on him.
One thing Lincs teams always seem to do well is finish the regular season on a hot streak. He’s only gone one and done in the tourney in 2017 and that was his only year as a 3 too. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen again.
I do like the NFL style format of playing the lowest seed left. Honestly all mid-majors who don’t have a strong fan turnout anyway should follow this format to protect their top seeds as much as possible.
Oakland scares me but heres my preference of round two opponents:
1. UWM-I know being a rival this is a scary game but I don’t see us losing twice to them at home (although we did in 2014). They lost 6 of 8 and GB had won 6 of 8 so I don’t see them beating Youngstown anyway. 2. IUPUI-I know they have had our number but again I don’t see them beating us twice at home in the same year. I think beating them in their place definitely helped. The only reason I don’t have them ahead of UWM is how much they dominated GB in the past. 3. Oakland-We should have swept them but probably better that we didn’t now if chalk holds up. They are playing better now but they seem to shit the bed even more than GB does when it comes to tournament time. 4. Cleveland St-We swept them but both times we almost blew a lead and had to hold on for dear left at the end. I want no part of this team a third time this year.
Every team can play the what if game but GB had such a great chance to get that double bye this year. Two road OT losses, two inexcusable losses to UWM and IUPUI at home and losing games to Wright St and NKU that they had second half leads. You win two of those you’re a two seed. You win 3 you’re a one.
I think that’s the most frustrating part of these Linc teams. They turn it on at the end of the year but dig themselves too big of a hole to really achieve their full potential.
Let’s hope we can re-create 2016 this year. Wright st and NKU are super beatable and not dominating in any fashion compared to years past. With this being on a neutral floor if we can get to Indy it’s anybody’s game.
If we can sneak in I think we are getting a 16 seed though. Getting over 500 might have saved us from a play-in game. Although I’d almost want us to get that game to get some exposure on a national stage.

In a must win game they got a big win. Like in any game there are things to improve upon but the key is finding a way to win which they did.
There are no easy games for any team in league play so I have no preference on who GB plays. I know this, this team can figure out a way against anyone in this league and that gives me confidence heading into tournament play.
