Yes let’s hope they finish 17-16 every year and consider that a success. Great plan. As long as they win the horizon league tournament, that’s fine with me. Hate to break it to you but Green Bay is a mid major. Regular season records don’t mean shit. In 2014 GB finished 24-7 and look where that got them. ...we don’t speak of that season, please

Hate to break it to you but Green Bay is a mid major. Regular season records don’t mean shit. In 2014 GB finished 24-7 and look where that got them. They matter in terms of attendance and recruiting. Yes they won’t get an at large with how weak their conference is anymore but 2014 they were a win against Wisconsin or Harvard away from getting one. A better record helps by getting a better seed to give you better odds of winning said tournament. That 3-6 game if they get it will probably be against Oakland or UWM. Both scary easily losable games for this team. Had gb won both overtime games against Youngstown and Oakland they would have tied NKU and gotten the two seed and the double bye. You can’t say records don’t matter because they do. Yes you still gotta win in the tourney but your program isn’t going to be successful long term if all you are playing for is March.
