Looking at stats when Oakland played Milwaukee. Williams shot 12 threes and hit 4 of them. We can’t let him beat us. Therefore when they pass the ball down low to XHM or Brechtling we need to be cautious and not leave Williams open at all.
Manny Patterson will need to be huge in this game for us to come out with a W. Also Will Chevalier could play a big part as well, drawing the bigs out since he is a threat from deep.
As always we go as three headed monster of Amari, JayQuan and Kam go. If they are successful we have a great chance of winning.
Let’s get this one! Go Green Bay!

OU is on a 3 game home winning streak. They beat CSU, YSU and MKE. They are 4-6 since Williams came back and those are 3 of the wins. So they are hot now but just as easily could be the team that loses by 30 to UIC.
Williams is 4-12, 4-13 and 5-14 from deep in this win streak. That really isn't great. However, XHM has been a ton on the inside in these games. Containing him away while contesting Williams is the challenge at hand.
When GB goes to the McNair/Bell lineup they better be exploiting their range and quickness advantage. If not it's going to be a lot harder to win this game.

Two things:
Linc cannot draw up a play at the end of a game to save his life.
Something something Cody gets fired up reading message boards. Guess there hasn’t been enough heat on him because he got annihilated by XHM time after time.

I find it inexcusable that we didn’t have Manny Patterson in the game when on that put back by Mais. What the hell was coach thinking?
This stings but hey we are competitive on the road and that’s all I have been asking for.
Linc may of just lost himself a chance at that extension though.

I think the end of the ysu and ou games say a lot about the trust coach has in running a play. He did the one thing that would guarantee overtime in a worst case scenario in both games.
I liked the play with McCloud and Davis both in the high post. That was new and effective.
The foul and lack of a rebound at the end of regulation is bad on bad. The actual play from OU to make that happen was well done.
Got to protect home court this weekend.

The more things change, the more they stay the same......
They have a shot at 3rd in the HL. They need to win their last 2 this coming week at home.....and hope GB isn't in a close, late game situation again for Linc to screw it up.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...... They have a shot at 3rd in the HL. They need to win their last 2 this coming week at home.....and hope GB isn't in a close, late game situation again for Linc to screw it up. I mean, GB is 7-2 in games decided by 4 points or less this season and both losses came in overtime. It is frustrating to have had the opportunity to win at the buzzer in regulation in both of those losses, especially with the way McCloud has been playing lately. We are due for a buzzer beater win. I will say the whole fiasco at the end of the first overtime was a little puzzling. Up three with 5 seconds left, GB called a timeout after Maddox made the first free throw, I am assuming to let the guys know that the intentional miss was coming, but it also gave Kampe some time to draw up that play. This is also when Chevalier came into the game instead of Patterson but not sure how much that would've matter considering they ran their intential miss / pick play to near perfection. On to a big one against Youngstown on Thursday night. The 3 seed and a potential first round bye is still plenty to play for. Sunday's loss was really demoralizing but this team has been playing its best basketball of the year lately (minus the shellacking at UIC a few weeks ago).

Funny how things work out, a week ago there seemed to be a very good chance of a double header with both the men and women playing at the Kress. Now the men will probably have to win both games and the women are more likely to finish in second.

In the first half and a few times in the second Oakland had XHM come across the lane for a quick post score. As the game went on GB seemed to be aware of that and took that away somewhat. XHM did more damage in a traditional post play on the right box. Will battled inside which was good to see but he wasn't able to take it away. GB did a decent job though of bringing help to deflect the pass or block shots. In some respects they got more stops than I thought they would once XHM was rolling.
The straw that broke the back though was knocking the ball away trying to feed the right box and Oakland saving it to XHM in the right corner. He passed inside to Oladapo who kicked back to a set XHM for a 3pt make. He is a 26% three point shooter on the season at that point and made one of the biggest 3's in his career. That was a total gut punch after everything else that happened.
I know GB doesn't control their own destiny for the 3 seed but they do for the 4 seed. I have always planned on them needing two wins this weekend so for me nothing has changed.
