How tall is he? I have seen anywhere from 6'4" to 6'6". He can really stroke the long ball. If he is on the taller side of the range he should be able to play some denial defense as well.
Welcome to GB.

Welcome to GB. His school's official roster says 6'6" but he was 6'4" in high school, so lets split the difference and call it 6'5". Some highlights from his freshman season at JUCO:

What level of competition is he going against?

Even if Ayers is playing against a Girl Scout troop those outside shots look impressive.

Can't blame anyone for keeping their options open. Let's hope the new coach is named quickly and he has good success rerecruiting some of the commits for next season as well retaining existing players. Retaining a portion of the existing staff might help.

Retaining a portion of the existing staff might help. I have no clue if he would be interested but retaining Randall Herbst would make a lot of sense for the program as the new coach comes on board. Herbst recruited some of the key players that are still remaining and has the in with some of the key kids in the class of 2021. One thing that hurt Darner 5 years ago IMO was not having a coach who was recently recruiting D1 recruits in the area when they came in. Now the guys he hired recruited some really good players but NE WI is old school and not doing better in WI high school recruiting probably lead to some of the malaise people have mentioned. Retaining Herbst actually helps open up the candidate pool in that GB could get someone from outside the area without giving up 5 years of building goodwill in the upper Midwest.
