Unfortunately this is kind of a tainted win since ETSU was without their coach and 3 starters, and gb certainly didn’t make it easy on themselves going down 9 but I give them credit for not folding. I highly doubt they are getting a home game unless they make the finals (they would be forced to). I’d like to see them play Marshall next. Maybe they can get a return home game outta it? Agreed- at Marshall would be great. If Drake wins i wouldn't mind going there. They should be able to go to Southern Utah and win. Although both of those team could be in the running for a bye if they are the top 3 seeds.

Heather Williams @wcyb_Heather 1m In addition to Forbes the @etsu_MBB team will be without three starters tonight.. Patrick Good, Mladen Armus and Jeromy Rodriguez are all in street clothes #WCYB Regardless, they played on the road and won. We have not been good on the road. Shooting was lights out. A good win and a good recruiting win.

Great win and the season lives on. I hope to play Drake in the next round in Des Moines. Beat down in the MVC a little bit more.

I would like to see Sandy not play all 40 mins next game.
The whole point of this tourney is to get experience for next year. They need to see how they can mesh and play without him. Considering he is their best player I don’t like how they will fare without him but we need to start transitioning him out of the lineup now that we’ve won a game. Maybe only play him 25-30 mins the reminder of the tourney?
Also it is worth mentioning: GB has NEVER won two games in a row in a postseason tournament. Wouldn’t it be something if this was the team to break that streak?

The way I see Sandy Cohen playing all 40 minutes gives me thoughts:
1. The better Sandy Cohen plays gives him a better shot to be picked up at the next level. Therefore Coach’s Darner is giving him every opportunity to showcase his talents. This can be a positive or negative. He came out flying last night scoring 18 points in the first half but you could tell in the second half he was worn out. Giving Sandy a platform to the next level could benefit the program by letting other power 5 players who aren’t playing a whole lot at their schools that Green Bay could be a landing spot.

I did not see this win coming. Even with Steve Forbes and 3 players out, if this game was earlier in the season, GB would have found a way to lose it, especially on the road. Let's win a couple more of these.......;-)

Any road win is a good road win. I am very happy that the guys came out hot and managed to rally at the end.
I don't have a problem with Sandy playing a lot. The team only has 11 active players. I would guess that TJ isn't coming back so that makes 10 players. Of that Kam is in a funk, while I can see trying to play his way out of it but he has to show he is able to do that. He looks like a shell of himself right now. Hunter didn't play but that has been consistent this year. Manny picked up 2 quick fouls and didn't do much of anything else so it was hard to give him more clock. Otherwise the guys who contributed like Tank, Quan, Cody and Josh are all coming back next year. Cody looked great on offense, he did a lot more inside the arc than at any point this year. That was great to see.
I would guess whoever pays the money will host. I personally wouldn't mind a few games in GB to give these guys the best chance of extending this season. If they have to go on the road I like Robert Morris or NJIT as possible destinations. I don't have the impression that Kent St or Drake want to host games at this time. Both of those schools had good seasons and have some money yet elected to play on the road in the first round.

Remaining CIT Field with KenPom rankings. Two more first round matchups and then the top 3 seeds(however they decide that) get a bye.

Drake played a short rotation and ended up losing in OT to Southern Utah. Get your frequent flyer miles ready as a regional opponent doesn't appear to exist.

Just my guess but I think Texas St (if they win), UL Monroe and Charleston Southern get bye games. There are 3 Big South teams left and I'm not sure if they should play in your conference so soon given this is a pay for play tournament.
The rest of the games will look like this in my opinion, though I'm not a CIT bracketology expert!
CSU Bakersfield @ Southern Utah Texas Southern @ UTRGV Presbyterian @ Marshall GB @ Hampton Robert Morris @ NJIT
I think the last first round game is today so we should know relatively soon.
