Does anyone know if the Star Wars giveaway is for kids only? They don’t specify. I’d like to get one for my niece.
There should and needs to be a big crowd today. At least 3000. It’s going to be abnormally warm for January packers are done no excuses! Playing a shit team but with it being a noon game it doesn’t hamper everyone’s day and can still do stuff at night and watch the playoff games.
Must win for gb as Detroit looks better than expected and they will be lucky to go 1-1 next week against them and Oakland on the road.

Wow. What a finish! Sucked seeing them down by double digits to CSU, but I was really impressed with the fight they put up to end the game. Don’t want to think too much into this game, just happy that Sandy hit the buzzer beater to bring us to 3-0. On to the next one!

A month from now is win is a win we wont remember the details. Down by 16 in second half after being up by 11 wow what a swing, capping it off with a buzzer beater. Fans got their money's worth.

3-0 is 3-0. Hopefully better basketball is ahead but good teams find a way to win ugly. This team has struggled defensively against inferior opponents. Quisenberry and Appleby will not go off when we head back to Ohio. Time to make Antoine Davis take bad shots and do to them what NKU just did.

Talk about the highs and lows in college Basketball. Went from feeling comfortable with a 11 point lead to being down by 15. All took place in about 5-7 minutes. The corner 3 point shot has absolutely kicked our tails these past 2 games. Something that will need to be fixed the further we go in conference.
Once again I was impressed with the guys fight after going down by 15. With Cohen being on top of the press, it reminded me of Jordan Fouse and how he use to do tons of damage up there. Would be interested to see if they break this out in the future.
JayQuan McCloud is looking like an all conference performer over these past 3 games, if he can keep it up then watch out. Sandy, JayQuan and Kam can make for a deadly trio.
How about Crist coming in and getting an offensive board and then finishing it with the putback? Love that effort.
Green Bay has a legit shot to go 4-0. Detroit will be tough because Antoine Davis is a stud and to be quite honest he is proably licking his chops seeing how much success, Roy (UWM), Quisenberry (YSU) and Appleby (CSU) all had against the Phoenix. Hopefully the guys can limit his shot and make him earn everything.
Sandy Cohen's game winning shot came right in front of the Phoenix bench therefore he couldn't have picked a better location to get it done. Also it was right in front of two recruits in Foster Wonders and Chris Conway. Foster currently has several offers one being UWM, while Chris Conway has offers from DePaul, Toledo, UIC etc. Green Bay has yet to offer either one.
Call me crazy but I believe this next road trip to Detroit and Oakland is the biggest road trip of the year. Its not going to be easy but if we can out there and sweep or split then bring all that momentum back to the Resch Center. The fan support will be greatly increased and the Resch will be packed.
Go Phoenix and props to athletes council for their idea for the Military/First Responders Day!

What a great Game! 3-0 in league play!
Down 11 with 3 min left to play! Coach Darner made a nice adjustment going to 4 guards with Tank on the come back. Being able to pick up full court and forcing them into a helter-skelter mode. He wasn't getting much production out of this front line and was forced to play small, plus it opened up the paint for JayQuan to attack more! Props to Coach on making adjustments with the line up.
Sandy, JayQuan, Kam, & Tank athleticism, fun to watch those guys fly around, look forward to seeing that line up a little more.
Nice to see Sandy on ESPN!
Also, mad Props to the Ath Council for their idea for the Military/First Responders Day!
Off to Detroit and Oakland, tough swing, Go get them!

I finally had a chance to watch the game on Sunday. That was a great finish. You have to give the guys credit, they were down 16 points with 5:30 left and 11 points with 3:00 left in the game. They were able to make CSU make enough mistakes that they were able to come back. Then you get a buzzer beater finish and GB fans left happy.
I was upset about the rebounding. CSU was +8 and it felt a lot worse than that. Though I felt like CSU was given the benefit of the whistle a lot in this game, they shoved GB around with no calls. There were several other calls that I am shaking my head over as well.
I don’t like the swing of plus 10 to minus 16. However, I think I would like to see the tempo they played the last 5 minutes with more. That is what I thought RP40 would like during the initial press conference back in 2015. Appleby handled it well most of the time but when they denied him the ball the other guys pretty much soiled themselves for CSU down the stretch.
Not that these guys played a lot but it was good to see Parham, McNair and Crist contribute after some DNP’s. With that said it would be good to see Smith improve his body language. He doesn’t look happy with the recent swing in his playing time.
Also, the free throw shooting was pretty clutch again. They have found a way to get the ball in the hands of the guys who are most reliable.
Now here is the thing for GB. I am not saying this to be a jerk but rather in hopes that they keep this start in check. They have a tremendous opportunity with the way the schedule is setting up. Two winnable road games followed by two more winnable home games before going out to the preseason #1. However, they were down 12 to UWM, down at least 10 to YSU and down 16 to CSU. The style leads to runs, I get that. However, they could just as easily be at 0-3. They are a good team, that is why they are 3-0. In sports good teams find a way to win and bad teams don’t. I just need to see these guys do what good teams are supposed to do, go out and win without it being an adventure, especially over teams that are not as good.

GBPhoenix1 hit it out of the park with this statement. I 1000% agree.
