The first 5 minutes looked pretty good. Went downhill pretty fast though. Defense just had no answer.

Wasn’t a pretty one, but considering they just played a highly skilled team 2 nights ago, I don’t think anyone thought GB had a chance in this one. There were certainly some bright moments in this game, and Sandy played pretty well, just couldn’t match up with their size, especially down low. It was good experience and I’m sure it was fun for the team to play there, but now they have all week to get ready for Evansville, which is definitely a winnable game.

I don't know what I expected from this game but being down 29 points at half time probably wasn't it. I will say of the 4 power conference buy games that GB played this was by far the best team. MSU really knew how to take advantage inside as they had tons of easy assisted buckets and mopped up on the glass.
For those keeping score at home Manny managed to talk another dominating big man into a technical foul. Loudon Love and Drew McDonald he is coming for you!
It is good to know that they are going to be on to playing winnable games from here. Hopefully some lessons learned against bigger and more skilled teams pay dividends starting at Evansville in a game that I really want GB to win.

This was classic taken to school night. There's value in the experience and I saw some elements for optimism for Horizon League action.

A good game and really like how we looking going into conference.
Also, for what it’s worth, we won the 2nd half 48 - 40 and it wasn’t until about 4 minutes to go that MSU cleared the bench...
The positives. 👏🏽😛
