This a week or so old, but I figured I'd post it. It would be a very nice consolation prize if GB cant land the WIAA state tournaments. It would also be nice for the GB ladies not to have to play on the opponents home floor for tournament games AMES, Iowa — University of Wisconsin-Green Bay athletic director Ken Bothof made a bid several years ago to host the first two rounds of the NCAA women's tournament, only to be turned down.
He said last year that it would make sense to explore the opportunity again, which would require the help of several people to make it possible.
PMI, which runs the Resch Center, would be on that list of willing participants.
"We are actually looking at it," said Cora Haltaufderheid, the chief operating officer for PMI. "We have not been asked or approached by anybody. We certainly have partnered with GB before, as far as when we hosted the NCAA national volleyball tournament.
"We would definitely be interested if the timing was right." Read more
