IUPUI??
Oakland??
I guess losing both games to IUPUI last year affects this, but no way do we finish behind these two teams.

Last year was a disaster, but at least there was some talent in the freshmen class. Need a big step foward from the sophomores and need some of the transfers to surprise. Sandy Cohen certainly has the talent to be 1st team All Horizon, he's certainly got the skills for the team to build around.

Sandy, Kam and Cody is a triple threat that few teams can match.
Sandy is probably the most dynamic player in the league and if they win enough games will be the PoY.
Guys like Pipes and Patterson were able to show they belong as freshmen. It doesn't feel like a stretch to think GB might have one of the deepest teams in the league if they get solid production from any of the other guys.
On that front it seems that McCloud is a contributor. Bell looks more fit than last year and should take a step forward.
WSU is the only team I would make a strong case as being better than GB on paper.

I read a interesting preview that said Linc Darner could potentially be on the hot seat not after this year but the following if things don’t go well. I don’t see it though, what do you think?

The commish does a nice job with these. I do disagree with two things though.
One, Linc Darner has a contract guaranteed through 2023 for at least $230,000 per year. Unless the athletic department wins the Mega Millions tomorrow or coach really upsets someone wealthy he will be at GB if he wants to be there.
Two, Schwartz is held in high regard by Darner. He was a leading scorer in limited minutes in Puerto Rico last summer. Meanwhile Parham fell down the rotation and is apparently planning to leave with a year of eligibility left. Coach will play whoever earns it but you tell me who is likely in the driver's seat. My money is on Cody.
I know Darner and Cohen are both optimistic about this team and so am I!

Parham is a senior as I believe the NCAA took a year from him for something...

My fault on the incorrect Parham info. I know for sure he was originally supposed to have three years in GB. I think he graduated high school in 2014 so maybe something is off with his 5 year clock to play 4 years.
For that matter how is McCloud only a junior in playing status? He also graduated high school in 2014.
Either way my money is on Cody to start. I like Parham's game, I just have the impression that coach really likes Cody.

Your 5 year clock has nothing to do with when you gradated high school. It starts the day you start taking classes at a university. I am well aware. He redshirted a year at Army. Someone told he was at Army before playing basketball. To my point if that is accurate perhaps something is wrong with his 5 year clock. Or something else. As for McCloud he was enrolled at both Murray State and UW Milwaukee in 2014.

From what I’m hearing, this team is pretty athletic and could definitely be the dark horse team. We will start to see it all in a couple weeks...i

The last two Wardle teams were very athletic and were able to overwhelm much of the league. Those teams couldn't shoot as well as this team can. I think fans around the league will be surprised by GB this year with a high level athletic ability and still make shots on the perimeter. If the rebounding improves they will be tough.
