If true, I'm not particularly surprised. The guy seemed to be looking for a bigger/better job from the day he started.
I really hope they are able to hire Divilbiss as the Head Coach. To me he has been the brains of the operation anyways.

How active was Divilbiss as a recruiter?

If Bollant leaves, hopefully Divilbiss will get the job......and not have to go through a lengthy search process and risk scaring off any committments or potential transfers from the current roster for next season. Since Divilbiss was part of the staff, GB was making deeper runs in the NCAA's. He also has experience as a D1 coach.....

My previous post on this thread has been revised and now should read: "Bollant, like Divilbiss, will join the list of those who have been fired at Illinois....."
Does anyone think he recovers from this and gets another D1 shot?

In my opinion Matt Bollant will receive offer(s) to coach perhaps at a mid-major school in the near future. Personally speaking Bollant would have been a much better fit at Wisconsin when that opening occurred when he was at UWGB. At it turned out the coach that Wisconsin hired lasted one year less than Bollant did at Illinois. Don't feel to sorry for Matt as he will receive his pay for his final year of his contract....just a lowly amount of $450.000.
