I don't care if GB plays more games on the road as long as they are against D1 competition or if they play a NC opponent in a home and home series in the same season.....No more than 1 non-D1 opponents on the regular season schedule and NO D3 or NAIA OPPONENTS AT ALL.

Nice to see them get a decent mid major on the schedule. But I think we're still going to see at least 1-2 games against non-D1 opponents. As long as they happen early in the season, I usually don't have a issue with them since I'm just excited to see them play against anybody. And personally I'd rather them schedule their non-D1 games against D3 or NAIA teams. Does a win over a D2 team really look any more impressive than a win over a D3 team? Make those games as easy as you can and bring in teams from Wisconsin to get their fans/supporters to buy some tickets.

For that Syracuse/UCONN/Oregon game, is that for certain?? I thought Iowa would be a part of that foursome.
Do we owe Stetson and Florida A&M a road game since they were both in GB last season?
If we do have any non-D1 games, please keep it to 1, but I do understand if they end up with 2.....and NO D3 OPPONENTS ON THE REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE.

GB will play two road games as part of 2K classic- so one more against one of those three teams Stetson and Florida A&M were part of the Mississippi State MTE- so I believe there will be no return games I hope you are right about the non D1s but my guess is that there will be 2 this year. If the same 15 home date rule with PMI is still in effect- 3 of the 5 remaining NC games will be at home. (9 Horizon, 1 exhibition, NIU and ISU, +3). Hopefully they can get two more D1 teams to GB but guessing only one more.

Can’t beat that non conference schedule so far. Now I am just curious who they can get to fill out the remaining conference schedule at Home.
For the fall sports season they are doing a “fall sports pass.” I think it’s new this year. So for 35 bucks you can go to any soccer game and volleyball game.
Makes me wonder what they do for basketball this year. Obviously it will be more than 35 bucks so we’ll see!

I do like how next season's NC schedule is shaping up. With the 4 games left to fill we have to assume 2 of those will be against non-D1 competition. Hope we keep it to D2 opponents and schedule games against the likes of Norther Mich and/or Mich Tech since there are usually local kids who play on both teams. Or we play UW-Parkside again.....Just keep the D3 opponents off the regular season schedule.
Maybe for the last couple of games to fill out, maybe a same-season home and home against a MVC or MAC opponent. I know we did this a couple years back against Central Mich.

My guess is that it will be two non D1 games and an exhibition to round out the home part of the schedule- 15 total games at the Resch Hopefully the two road games are decent mid majors that will come to GB in 2019-2020 With Michigan State, Iowa and the 2nd 2K game, rather start series and have winnable games than get another paycheck.

I love the Belmont game. I like that GB has had success getting 1 for 1 starting on the road with other mid majors. That has paid off and looks like it will keep working in the future with what should be a much improved Evansville coming to GB in 2019.
We need start a scheduling hashtag, something like #allD1allthetime because I will be sick if they play 2 Non D1 home games. I don't know Charles Guthrie but I will make my feelings known to him if they have a junk home schedule like last year.
Also, the HL is part of a scheduling alliance with the Sun Belt and CUSA that I believe starts in 2019. Based on computer rankings they will get one home and one road game from a similar ranked team in those leagues. That should help things out as well.
I will be curious to see if the HL brings out the unbalanced conference schedule like the Sun Belt and CUSA are doing. With only 10 members I think that would be hard. Imagine having 3 or 4 games against YSU or UDM this coming year?!?!

Imagine having 3 or 4 games against YSU or UDM this coming year?!?! I'm ok with GB scheduling ONE D2 game. I also understand the challenges of a mid-major program getting home games, so if GB gets 2 D2 games, I understand but I'm also not thrilled about it. Last season's NC schedule was a joke: 2 D3 games and a game versus D2 UW-Parkside. Under ANY circumstances, GB should NOT be having D3 games on the regular season schedule. I'm fine for D3 games on an exhibition slate, especially if they are against local teams, but D3 games (on a regular season schedule) are just an over-glorified layup line. At least a D2 opponent is a better early-season challenge, and those games versus Northern Michigan/Michigan Tech in past years were a true challenge. If there is a Resch Center component to all of this, where GB MUST have a set number of home games, then this also needs to be changed.....I's rather have one less home game against a D2/D3 opponent (which attendance would not be great anyway) for a road game versus a quality D1 opponent. Also, any non-D1 games on a regular season schedule will not count towards the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Selection Committee's formula, which could haunt them if they would be in a bubble/last 4 in/first 4 out situation. Hope this scheduling alliance with the Sun Belt and CUSA will help eliminate the need for more than one D2 game on the regular season schedule going forward in 2019.

How does this work? Does 2K pay for the travel involved?
