Sounds like it's going to be a great atmosphere inside the Kress Center tonight. Sold out crowd with over 1,000 student tickets sold.
Let's keep building momentum heading into the conference tournament!

Wish I could be there tonight. Sounds like a really fun game to be at. Won't be an easy win but hopefully the atmosphere can fuel the Phoenix to a victory!

Also, it's kind of a bummer that this game was originally going to be on ESPNU. Guess it was ultimately bumped for the NKU vs Wright St game. Can't really argue with their decision, but it would've been nice to see the phoenix on a national stage.

Nice job allowing the 15-0 run....just tremendous Giving up 60 rebounds and having 40% free throw shooting didnt help either.

One of the worst teams I’ve seen in my life.
They look like a high school team.

UIC has more talent than GB and the Nix ran out of gas. The uptempo style requires better shooters than the Phoneix has right now. The bottom line is you can't win a fight when the other team has radically more weapons. This group has never come together as a team for a complete game. There are some building blocks. I wonder what a healthy/available Patterson could have done for the rebuilding issue last night?

Hopefully they are just getting Manny healthy for the stretch run. It’s a shame that over the past three games we had leads and couldn’t hold them.
Maybe next year we can turn these L’s into W’s with a little more experience.
Go Phoenix’

As previously stated the rebounding and free throw shooting really did them in. Also, not having Small being on the court playing his defense for as many minutes as normal didn't help. At least the other guys picked up the scoring a bit.
I certainly think Manny would have helped in this game but probably wouldn't have made the difference. He is just one guy and Linc doesn't exactly play him more than other bigs that can score.
I am concerned about Linc thinking UIC is a mold for GB next year. Sure I am encouraged by having double digit leads against the 3 best teams in the league. Yet I am worried because right now GB is switching Jespersen for Schwartz which should be an upgrade. However, they need Cohen/Hankerson/others to really improve to fill the void left by Small. With no new big guys coming in so far the rebounding is still an issue to address as well. Plus some of the freshman have regressed a bit, possibly hitting the wall. UIC returned almost everyone and brought their best player back from injury. Not necessarily the same road map GB is following.
Good to see Parham making a contribution again. Somebody needs to get in Bains head and give him some confidence. He has some nice moves but struggles to finish.
The best thing I can say about last night is now I don't have to spend any more time or money going to games and can sit back and watch what is left of this season on ESPN3.

Also, congrats to the university for getting so many students, alumni and future students to the game. It was a nice event even if the end of the game sucked.
The only downside is a lot of casual fans left when momentum shifted and many sat silent most of the night. So they still need to build a culture of basketball fans.
