Those last two Wardle teams were pretty solid with talent. What made me think of this again was the NBA GLeague draft was yesterday. Vince Garrett was drafted by Iowa, Jarvis Williams was drafted by Iowa and Hendo was drafted by Westchester.
I think that makes 7 former Wardle guys who have been drafted by or played in the GLeague.
Sykes Brown McKinnie Mays Garrett Williams Hendo
Then adding guys like Fouse and Love who are probably close or on that level and it really makes you think about how talented some of those GB teams were. I know they didn't accomplish the ultimate goal but those were some fun teams to watch that really went toe to toe with some good teams.

Indeed, one question though, is how many times did those guys go dancing? That's the only number that matters.

That 2013-2014 team was probably the most talented team in GB history. Unfortunately, similar to the 1991-92 team that was the 2nd most talented team, they did not stay healthy.
The season began with McKinnie getting hurt before the 1st game and never fully getting back to 100%. Then Alec Brown hurt his shoulder 1 month before the end of the season, and worst of all, Sykes got hurt in the conference tourney game GB was upset in. I'd say the one big flaw that team had was not having a true shooting guard to complement Sykes. Love did the best he could but he was slightly out of position there and was much better as a true PG. But man that was a good team.

They have gotten better in each of BW's 3 seasons at Bradley. I would not be surprised if they challenged Loyola for supremacy in the MVC next season.

That is great for both of these guys. They didn't deliver NCAA tournament games but they served GB well.
Honestly if I were an AD at a P7 level and had a team that was on hard times I would hire either one of them to turn it around. I am not saying get it over the hump, that might be someone else's job. I have no doubt in my mind that a guy like TK would have DePaul for example winning 20 games and being at least .500 in conference play by the third year. He took over a disaster at Toledo, including an APR ban and has them at least relevant again. This year they lost in the MAC finals without the league player of the year. It was a close game until they lost by 10 at the end. Buffalo went on to upset Arizona, could have easily been TK in that game.
Anyway congrats to both of them.

I think Tod was under appreciated at Green Bay because he wasn't Dick Bennett. Both Kowalczyk and Wardle were works in progress when they were the Nix. I'd give the nod to TK on maturity issues and Wardle in recruiting. TK took the program when it was a ground zero.

It’ll be interesting to see who gets to the tournament first.
Wardle and TK both seem like program-builders but can they get over the hump? GB is in a bit of a rebuild mode but all it takes is catching fire a few days in March in a declining Horizon League.
