I like how Linc keeps recruiting Minnesota hard even though we haven't had any luck quite yet. Keep on grinding!

MN was (and still is) a relatively under-tapped recruiting pipeline for us. Alec Brown was from Winona and Jeff Nordgaard was from Dawson-Boyd, but as a program, we should have hit that state harder than we have been historically. Hope Linc re-established a pipeline there.

Heideman recruited a big kid out of suburban Twin Cities who had potential but self-destructed and exited after a redshirt developmental year.

From what I could tell in the all time roster the only players from Minnesota for GB are Steve Baker, Alec Brown, Doug Carter, Kaharri Carter, Cole Stefan and Chop Tang.
The first two were good. I don't know Doug Carter. The last three names, not much of a legacy in GB.
There is no time like the present to establish a pipeline to MN.
Also, it was fun reading the names of old players. I totally forgot about some of those guys.
Edit: Obviously I forgot #33 in my list but I know you guys didn't. Did I miss anyone else?

Chop Tang never met a shot he didn't like. Did he ever register an assist in his GB career?

You got everybody except David Peterson who played two seasons at GB in 1984 and 1985. So 8 players total from Minnesota since the program started in 1970.

Two months ago it looked like Justice was going to UNI. Now it looks like GB has a legit shot at him. It would seem smart to wait for Justice before going after other players like Cook (no offense to Cook, GB just has a ton of time invested in a bigger in state player).
