McKinnie made his first career NBA start last night and scored 11 points on 5/5 shooting and also grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes of action. The Warriors lost to the 76ers though. Pretty cool to hear Brian Anderson with the quick UWGB shoutout: www.clippituser.tv/c/geangy

I saw the box score of last night's Golden State Warriors game vs Portland, and Alfonzo McKinnie started the game for GSW. He played 26 minutes and scored 12 points and grabbed 2 rebounds. I was shocked when I found out he played at Green Bay. Congrats to him. Perseverance made his NBA dream come true.

He started last night because Iguodala was out with an injury but I think he earned that starting spot after a really good Game 3. He had 5 points and 9 rebounds in 21 minutes in that game and was a team-best +24 while he was on the court. Now hopefully the Bucks can get to the Finals. I hope McKinnie has a good series but I'd rather have the Bucks win it all!

Al is finally starting to get some minutes for the Cavs this season. He scored 14 points, made 3 of his 6 three point attempts, and grabbed 6 rebounds in 30 minutes of action against the Knicks on Monday night. The night before he scored 7 points and grabbed 6 boards in 21 minutes against the Sixers.
The Cavs are pretty bad this season unfortunately so we probably won't see McKinnie starting a playoff game again this season. It's good to see him starting to get some minutes again though.

Just here to remind you all that Al couldn't find a starting role for most of his time at Green Bay.

I missed this with all the COVID craziness going on recently but McKinnie is back in the NBA with his hometown Bulls.
He’s been tearing it up in the G League so far this year, hopefully he can stick around with the Bulls even when they get all their guys back from the protocols.

McKinnie becomes the first 10 day hardship signing to sign a full contract. How serine for him to get to play for the hometown team. They can really use his skill set too, they've been desperate for a defensive combo forward that can shoot the 3.
We never got to see Al healthy with the Phoenix, but ti got to see him in practice once just before the knee injury. He was awesome. The Nix would have been a lock as an at large NCAA tournament team with a fully healthy McKinnie. He was the missing piece.
