This is from about a month ago now but with an open scholarship it’ll be interesting to see if GB’s interest picks back up

I like Xzavier a lot. His body and the skills he has are perfect for St Louis or Bradley. His length on defense would fit those teams like a glove.
I would welcome him to GB with open arms as well, though he needs to improve his jump shooting a bit. I see him as an impact player in year 2 and beyond at GB.
Honestly I'm not sure he is in the radar for IUPUI, SLU or Bradley. He didn't have a huge senior year though his team did. I could see him going to a prep school or Juco to get some buzz if he doesn't come to GB.

This is from about a month ago now but with an open scholarship it’ll be interesting to see if GB’s interest picks back up Two key things from this: - He mentions GB first when asked about offers. It may be coincidence, but if someone asks you where you want to go eat, for example, you typically wouldn't think to mention your top choice 3rd or 4th in that list. - He wants to "stay close to home." Green Bay is the closest team in that list, followed by Bradley, and the others really aren't all that close, relatively speaking. Who knows how far "too far" is, but GB certainly fits the bill in terms of proximity.

Jones has all of the tools to play at a the D1 level. I'm not sure why he slipped as a senior. I think a prep year would serve him well if the end goal is to play at a high level.
Also, a good sign that GB has their eye on a different prize at this time.
